Plants are still drying from last grow, today is 10 days since I chopped the first few (didn’t get to all of them till Wednesday of last week though so tomorrow will be Day 7 for those). Moved them all to a makeshift dry room made out of a big huge Amazon box. Checking them daily, but seems fairly safe that they will all make at least 7 Days before I put them into jars. Will get some pics up of the final haul once they are all in jars.

In the meantime got my GeoPot fabric bed in the tent, placed the root balls from last grow in there, then filled the rest of the space with a mix of local Compost and Promix. Then put the Blumat soaker hose in (buried it) and carrots in, first time using it so hopefully I got it set right, but am fully prepared that I may have to adjust it as I go.

Got some red Wigglers in there and sprinkled my cover crop seeds across the soil. Hopefully in a couple days they’ll start sprouting and in a couple weeks it’ll be ready to put my plants into.

Speaking of my plants, got 2 Jamaican Shipwrecks, 1 Lambsbread, and 1 Acapulco. Already had one of the JS in a 1 gallon Smart Pot, but decided to put the other 3 into Net Cups instead as it will take less time for the roots to fill out the space and they also slip out of them easy peasy. Only thing is you have to bottom water them, which is kind of a pain, but not too bad.49F3B93B-07AF-43E5-BEE7-227B692BA3F2.jpeg7B10C069-4167-46F7-B65F-0916ED12C3D9.jpeg

Finally got everything into jars to cure.

Even with having lost a plant due to being male, battling PM the whole way through Flower, and half of the plants I did keep being poor to piss poor yielders I wound up with 344g; just over 12 oz.

Not bad at all based on those conditions!

I figure that, had I only grown the good yielding strains/plants, I’d have been around 480+ grams instead. Which, is precisely why those are the 4 strains that I am running next go round in the Living Soil.89EB6A05-D9CE-46E5-9F9B-23A9AF7888F2.jpeg0B11E89F-3229-4070-92C5-8EF9E9815FB2.jpeg23D8368B-9986-4021-8113-27F0D5499E24.jpeg

Cover crop is coming in good in the Loving Soil Bed. Got a Mini-Microbulator on the way so I can make some compost tea. Once it gets here will transplant the girls from the Clone/Seedling tent into the 3x3 bed. Then gotta brew some tea for 24 hours and foliar spray with it. Hoping that and some improved airflow will prevent the PM from becoming a problem this time through. B6D9EF61-DD1B-46FF-8478-48835359D43B.jpeg5B85C069-ED7C-4DA9-980C-A24E54613B4D.jpeg

Figured I’d post these here as well as over in the One Love Genetics thread.

The first pic is of the two Mazars I’ve got growing in the Seedling/Clone tent and the second pic is of the 3 Pine Tar Kushs.

Last crop is still drying, but as soon as it’s ready I’ll pull it out of the big tent and put the new crop of seedlings/clones under the Timber. A few of the Regular seedlings are getting close to big enough to Top and take clones from as well. Then I can start sexing them in the clone/seedling tent and culling the males.View attachment 4480570View attachment 4480571
Obviously very happy plants!

Yes indeed. Unfortunately the Pine Tars wound up being males, so will have to wait till a future grow to see how that strain turns out.

The Mazars didn’t wind up yielding too much, but I do have a clone of the more Indica Dominant one going outside and she seems much happier out there. Might just be one of those strains that doesn’t like being grown indoors all that much. My buddy also has a clone and it’s doing decently well outside too.

will keep you guys updated as to how it turns out yielding outside too.

Well, decided that today was the day. The girls were quickly outgrowing my clone/seedling tent and the Lambsbread was showing signs of deficiencies (meaning that she had eaten through all of the nutes in the M3 I had her in).

Funny how nervous I was transplanting them as I’ve been growing for over 4 years now and have transplanted dozens of times before! Still very excited. Feel like a little kid on Christmas morning!

Hope they take to their new home well! 1731C001-E6A0-40EC-8F0A-CD11E7D7C783.jpeg64CECA50-1B69-4A6C-994B-46BCB900C672.jpeg

Half way through Week 1 in the Living Soil and the plants are already looking super happy and healthy. Almost all of the yellowing that they were showing when I transplanted them in is now green and all of the Tops are now starting to grow in.

Noticed a few spots on one plant so decided to grab some Predatory Mites (Californicus), that’s what the little specks all over the leaves are. This was the species I got last time and they did a great job of wiping out the Spider Mites. Was planning on getting some anyhow for prevention. ‍♂

Only thing is that they came a little sooner than I expected, so I have to wait a few more days now before brewing and applying my first ever batch of Compost Tea (gonna foliar spray and do a soil drench with it).

Still, loving this Living Soil so far!88B4B897-4AC1-4535-97E0-6841340AB59F.jpeg

End of week 1 in the Living Soil. Today I applied my first ever batch of Actively Aerated Compost Tea (AACT) which I brewed for 36 hours and followed Tim Wilson’s (The Microbe Man) Basic recipe.

First picture is immediately post application at 9am this morning and the second was from this afternoon. Think I also got my blumats better dialed in, am getting a digital moisture meter though, so will know for sure.

Can’t believe how happy and healthy these plants are looking already after only a week! Love this Living Soil!37C88465-707C-4F99-B307-800E868C128F.jpeg77BF2C77-C7D2-41C2-8F25-3E45D0CF8D24.jpeg

Well, much to my surprise the net is already filled! There is kind of a bare spot in the middle of the Lambsbread due to her kind of getting too big and me having to spread her out, but she’s a big stretcher so I think her lower branches in that area will come up through the net and fill that area in (though probably not be as tall as her perimeter colas).

Only took 16 days from the time I put them into the Living Soil! Crazy!!!

Decided to Flip the lights to 12/12. Cant wait to see what these girls do in Flower in the Living Soil!6EB0DC66-6D3F-4A80-A08B-9A2BA816E622.jpeg

Day 7 (last day of Week 1) of Flower update.

Mulched the Cover Crop, gave the girls another batch of Compost Tea (about a gallon between foliar and Soil drench), Top Dressed them with a mix of:
-Bone Meal
-Kelp Meal
-Fish Meal
-Alfalfa Meal
-Greensand
-Azomite
-Rock Phosphate

Then covered the whole bed with some Barley Straw Mulch from BuildaSoil.

Looking super happy and healthy so far!19722410-519D-43CA-AC90-1BCFD853E597.jpeg96AEBB29-4641-4043-8CF5-3412C2468549.jpeg7443D77F-465D-461A-B129-EF55E7A5497D.jpeg

So, apparently I can’t count. I think I’m just so used to starting things on the weekends that it totally slipped my mind that I actually flipped the girls Monday night rather than (the following) Saturday night like I had planned.

Which means that today, Monday the 10th, is actually Day 7 of Flower and tomorrow (Tuesday the 11th) will be the start of Week 2.

And holy Shnikes have these girls grown in this week! They are all starting to throw out pistils, but none have opened up and started building their top flower yet. Hopefully they do so soon as the Lambsbread colas are already 20” from my light (from 36”) and I don’t want to let them get closer than 18” (what Timber has listed for the height of their par map on the site).

Will have to check back through my pictures from last grow, but I think everything should be close to finishing their stretch.

Also, finally got my Blumat Digital Moisture Meter set up today. It’s reading about 95, which is within the range that they recommend I believe. Even if not, the girls seem very happy and healthy (even more so than on Saturday when I posted the above pics and I turned the moisture up a little during that time). Turned it up just a little again today. Will check the reading again tomorrow and see how they respond.

Day 9 of Flowering Cycle today. Plants are still stretching!

Had to raise my Timber up as high as I could to get it 18” off the top of the tallest Lambsbread Cola. Reading just under 1000 PPFD (995) at the top of that Cola, which is just about perfect. Hopefully they stop stretching in the next day or two and start building their flowers.

Got a nice thick canopy going! But, unlike the run a couple times ago it doesn’t feel really over grown and I have the intake fan blowing air into the inner canopy,so should prevent any dead spots of air. Thinking I may not defoliate (or at least do a bare minimum) this time around to see what they do when they aren’t getting light toxicity.

Can’t wait to see how they turn out!B7DBA78B-33A3-48D9-AF26-8972128B4112.jpegD6B756EE-1708-4571-B22A-2AC622E95FB0.jpeg89E9DF48-073D-429C-BFAD-ED1872A7AB41.jpegF0E6FF9C-D7C1-424F-9B86-2C2A4B1F7BA6.jpeg08989F46-D24C-416E-B41D-847200017151.jpeg94ED1631-5A63-4D45-B38B-2261F378EF41.jpeg

3500K

Was going back and forth about the 3000 and 3500 and decided to go with the 3500. Honestly most likely would have been happy either way though.
3k yeilds more in my experience. Have the same light btw. If you have reflectors on take them off they are a fire hazard. Ask rain dan. Looks great man. Good job.

Thanks brother!

No reflectors, Timber didn’t even have them as an option when I bought my 4VS.

Interesting to hear that about the 3K yielding more, but kinda makes sense as more red in the spectrum will promote cellular expansion. I think it would also cause more stretch in Veg/Transition though. This time through I have been extremely happy with how well the plants have Vegged under it in the Living Soil, and honestly think I would have been in major trouble had they stretched even more during Transition! So probably a good thing I’ve got the 3500K.

Day 14 of Flower update.

The stretch has finally started to slow down and the girls are starting to put energy into building their flowers.

Unfortunately though the huge Lambsbread cola turned out to be more of a light fiend than anticipated and grew into “red zone” PPFD territory, so I had to tie her down to avoid her getting burnt.

Also decided it was time to Lollipop the bottom level and clean up/defoliate the middle level.

Finally gave them their final Foliar Compost Tea application and sprayed the soil (including all the leaves I cut off and left on top of the soil).

Still looking super healthy and happy!4BA34D16-48DA-45CD-B832-AAFEDC1BF623.jpeg590E5FE0-37FC-4F30-81B6-F27C168A5899.jpegDA14C0F5-8137-452B-B5CF-3C1F672F1FFB.jpeg

Day 19 of Flower Update.

I am running out of room fast. I have never before had plants get this big, a testament to the power of Biology/Living Soil I would say.

I am hoping that they are close to being done, because if not I am in trouble. As it is I am only running the Timber at 70% and have multiple colas getting up into “red zone” territory. I may have to wind up trying to LST them even more (considering trying Kyle Kushman’s Chiropractic Technique to create momentarily more flexibility in the stems and then bending them, possibly even into circles, to get them down further from the light) or possibly dimming the light further.

Next time I will know that they are gonna stretch like crazy like this and will Flip them much sooner and weave them into the Net as they stretch.53B79C82-2A7E-48D0-BFB1-976552E2361A.jpeg7B76E549-7496-4073-8BD8-D36077169181.jpeg1BCA5DD9-1822-4490-B977-45AD355EB6AE.jpeg39ADFA94-5F8E-4FD4-AE38-FD53C21E7CDB.jpeg4FA05EB5-6077-4462-8018-FD28DBCC463C.jpeg

Flower Day 21 Update.

Holy handgrenade Batman, these plants got huge! Wound up having to Super Crop some of the biggest Lambsbread Colas to get them back into the canopy (they were growing up past the side of the light).

Think the stretch has finally come to an end though and now the girls are starting to put their full attention into building their flowers. Already smells delicious! And I am definitely seeing a noticeable increase in Trichomes on the Jamaican Shipwrecks over last run. Lambsbread was pretty frosty last time, but looks like she’s gonna be even more so this round.

Jamaican also wound up stacking up pretty nicely and although she has more internodal spacing than last run, I think that with her flower genetics she has the potential to make some monster Colas! Especially with all of the Soil and Biology cranking along like it is.

Almost can’t even see the Acapulco Colas in the back, but can see that at least the tops are frosting up nicely. Definitely excited to see what these girls look like in another few weeks!

Damn man those plants are huge in there. They're bigger than the 1st run without the scrog net right? Anyways you almost could've waited a lil longer to add the scrog net but either way looks great. You're definitely going to get your yeilds up by the looks of it.
I run hps and cmh in a sealed room with mini split. Getting another smaller room going and have been really thinking of rocking some led's. Been in the up in the air with getting timbers or HLG. Might run a 2nd room with in a 5x10 or 4x8 so was thinking a couple of timber fatty or 2-3 HLG 650rs. Just curious are you running a dehu outside of you tent? It could help with some of your problems, especially if you run a passive air intake with inline and carbon filter. Anyways you rock some super healthy plants, will definitely be following this.
