orange peels on the soil?

i hear that if you put orange peels on the soil of where your weed plants are during flowering time,the plants' buds will taste like orange when they are done..? this true? cuz i wanna try it!

Just good for the microbes. Get an orange flavored starin if you want orange. They come in all flavors now

I even went as far as grading the peel to a powder, mixing it in my water and feeding it for the last week before harvest. While the bud did have a slight hint of orange, it wasn’t a strong enough taste for me to try again.

this is what they call bro science. Lots of people hear that if you add this that or the other thing to the soil it will change the taste of the plant.
Think about it this way.... lots of people add things like fish emulsion and manure to their soil.... if your theory was true, organic growers weed would all taste like rotten fish and poo.
If you want better flavors in your weed add azomite or glacial rock dust.

Even though the OP made this post and hasn't been seen in 12 years I'll throw my 2¢ into the discussion.

I do it all the time. But I prefer to use tangerines or pomelo. They have a much more subtle yet refined flavor. Sometimes I use apples and cinnamon to make my buds taste like apple pie. And don't forget pineapple, mango, guava, etc... to give you that tropical flavor. If you crumble up a pack of Girl Scout Cookies you'll have the real taste of cookies. I like the Thin Mints. You can get really creative flavoring your plants. Your pantry is your canvas. Green beans, tomato sauce, sauerkraut, etc...
