Mechanical separation will never achieve pure thca isolation there no way to remove lipids. That's why mechanical separation never achieves diamond formations. That and it requires to much heat which partially decarbs the extract.
I get that there is really high thca% but you simply cannot separate the thca from all the lipids and other plant material by using a rosin press. Most of the lipids are to viscous to melt out of the thca portion without degrading the thca into thc/Cbn. Pure thca is either in a large crystal or a powder(just the thca crystals crushed into a powder) this level of purity(i mean 99.5+% thca) can only be achieved by hydrocarbon extraction. And that's fine I'm not bashing mechanical separation of thca or rosin in anyway I'm just saying that its purity level as far as thca goes is not going to be able to reach anything above about 95% thca.
Fair enough. I totally get it for me I dont mind as long as it's been purged properly I've seen results as low as 35ppm which I probably inhale more just filling my torch.
