I have a
6inch l1 on my room control
and a
6inch a1 on my cooltubes.

I have a vebt in my bathroom 200mm standard vent with a grid. Removed bug filter

If i use

On both pipes... Can i use a y connector and a reducer to connect to the vent?

Would airflow efficincy work? And not push down the other?

Eg
Both 6inch tubes to a backdraught connector and a recucer from the 6inch pipe to 8inch.

Then an 8inch y connector to the bathroom vent...

Would this work? Or am i best to keep them seperate? This would envolve some tight hot digging so before i do it im covering my options
Ive not idea if it will work efficiently or if like 6x2 wohld need a 12 to be efficient?

Yeah it works.
As the other guys said a 6/6-8 Y would be best.
Its how my tents are vented into my chimney.

I was using chimney fine til last week I noticed my pipe expanding this way lol its blocked.

They it was amazing finding a metal access to vent to lasted 2 month..

There will be no bottlenecking taking 2 6inch to 8 vent?
I take it it's different if ur pushing out rather than pulling in a small hole?

What fans u got on it?

Was worried when the groom fans on low on controller that the cooltube would push down that least resistance path rather than out the vent.

And if this happened when I used the backdraugts... this would shut off my other fan if preassure enough?
So I'm guessing I wont need them??

So just get a 8inch y with 6inch feeds and slap the 6inche fans on it n lead that out the duct

The 4m trail should decompress some preassure

If you have two fans both pumping air in the same direction the path of least resistance will be the exit point, in this case the 8" end of the Y.
You wouldn't want either fan to be off and backdraughts are not needed.

You could think of it like a stream meeting a river if you like, the slower stream will flow into the faster river and be picked up to the higher speed with a small amount of turbulence which wont make any noticeable difference

An 8" duct is around 80% bigger than a 6" duct in area alone and your 6" ducts are more than capable of taking the forced air from a 6" fan.
So it shouldn't cause a problem. Especially since the Y will be close to the exit point.

My fans are low cfm, I think 180cfm and 140cfm ones a 6" , ones a 4" Both on 6" duct to Y then 8" out, 1 ft of 8" duct to chimney

Cool as man wow there small fans?
Mines 450m3 and 800m3 lol

I use a 6x6x6 Y, and as long as both fans are running I have zero issues. Reason being, 6" duct can handle much higher flow/pressure curves than any 6" inline fan can produce

Awsome man. What fan n lights u runnin on a 6 vent out?
U up lofting too?

Yeah man, I used to run 8" airforce 2 fan and 6" ruck but ive downsized.
So the 6" is a silent box fan, 23db, takes care of two tents ,3x3 with 360w of aussie high light LEDs and a 2x4 with 240w QBs.
The 4" takes care of 1m x 1m with a 315cmh , mostly used as veg tent.
They are all on variacs and even in this heatwave do the job. I went for them for the low decibel rating, obviously they run less cfm than your average 4 and 6" fans but they are near silent and still keep my tents cool enough.
