Mars Hydro TSL 2000

Thought I’d try out one of the newest offerings from Mars Hydro, the TSL 2000. It comes with 2 150w drivers that can easily be mounted to the fixture itself or, you can mount them outside the tent, it comes with extra wire, like 3ft.

I chose to mount mine outside, the tent I’m using is 2x4x5 which may not be tall enough. (I may change this later if I can get a taller tent.
This fixture is supposed to be 300 watts, plenty for this space.

It has a mixture of added reds and blues, with the white leds. It’s also adjustable, from 25 to 100% (25%) in the above pic.

The goal is to fill the tent with this plant, up until now it’s been under T5’s and has been subjected to cooler than ideal temps, but I think that’s about over now.

Strain is Cookies N Chem
Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow and Bloom Part A&B
Cal/Mag
ProMix Hp

I’m gonna veg this plant for at least another month and then transplant into a 5gal (maybe 7) smartpot, then flip to 12/12.

Hi nice looking bush , I have the tsw2000 and want to mount the drivers outside the tent . What did you use to mount them I have some heavy duty plastic panel I was going to use would this be ok or does it have to me aluminum or steel ? Thanks gl

I"m thinking of getting this light. I'll be growing in a 2x4 closet. How do you like the light so far?
Your plant seems to like it.

I screwed both of them to a 2x4 and laid it across the top of the tent.

Yes it’s doing great under this fixture. I’m thinking it’ll be really good flowering, we’ll see.
Keep watching.

I have the TSW 2000 and can say its a great light although im not experienced in any other lamps this is my first one lol xD.

I have the drivers inside the tent because its winter here in Cape Town and im growing in my garage, man needs as much heat as he can get at night lol. Overall its a very energy efficient light and from the research iv done on line its capable of getting really dank buds and good light penetration in the canopy!

Yeah, it’s a big plus that these have long cords, it enables you to take them outside the tent for less heat, or you can leave them on the fixture for more heat.

This is a good value for the money I start topping & try to get the scrog in early on the plant in this pic has only been in the tent a few days I over paid for one of my cobs & built the other if I had it to do all over I would serious consider one of these for my tents (3×3) they make taller tents I've been using covert tents from hydrobuilder.com for 3 yrs.now reasonable price & decent quality but with a scrog you should be able to make this into a nice grow it looks good already this is one of my setups just starting out the other is full developed & flowering both are single plant grows by filling in the screen before I flip I get wall to wall buds both of my tents are setup identically for single plant grows you should be able to rock that tent with your setup View attachment 4607551View attachment 460755120200627_100502.jpg20200627_085540.jpg

Yes that looks great. If you ever buy another fixture for a 2x4 you should try one of these for sure. 300watts= 37.5watts per sq ft,

Sorry brother, I got you mixed up with a different post I just had read, lol.
Sounds like you have your tents covered really good,
I do stuff like that all the time or spellcheck messes me up & I don't catch it Lol my tents have been a work in progress & your setup catches my interest because the light & the 2x4 tent are things I would consider if I decide on a 3rd tent I have overkill for lighting on one tent & the 340w. for 9sq.ft.is about right dr.amber trichome runs a 4x2 with 300w. & gets good results I think your setup is gonna make you happy any way I would like to pull up a chair the other thing I like about the 4x2 is the fact you can reach all the way across the scrog from the front of the tent as it's only 2ft. across
