Down with McCain,If he makes office it will be 10 times worse than Obama,If you are a voter, then decide between the lesser of the 2 evils i say,McCain will be a guaranteed 4 yrs of repeat of Bush.If anyone watched the debates, you could clearly see that neither McCain or Palin could clearly answer the questions given to them by the moderator, they dodged the most important questions by changeing the subject matter almost immediately. When Obama or Biden were asked you could see that they had an explaination of what was currently going on,what they are going to implement as President and Vice President giving a clear understanding of what is to come.Yes there has to be change in America so many others know this to be true,But when you have a candidate who cant even stay on point in a debate and at leaste explain what they have for a policy plan in the white house when given the questions,it really shows they have no idea what the hell they are even going to do once elected.I really think Obama is going to get the election,But i also see that there will be a large risk in assassination attemptes because there are nefarious people who are so afraid of the change that must happen for our nation to thrive again, and it wont be easy but the change is necessary if we hope to continue our way of life as we know it.Think about it in the bigger picture instead of the narrow sighted value thats taken over so many peoples way of thinking.

Oh yeah... and I supposed you believe that FDR solved the problems of the Great Depression...

How FDR made the Great Depression worse - Gold & Silver Forum

Though, as far as your rant. Explain to me how you think Obama is going to be better for the country.

discussing opposing points to someone who is self-righteous, is hard.

she isn't defending a side, not once in any of her post has she done so.

Can't bedate a closed book. much like debating god to a jesus freak.

My mother has a doctorate in english composition and is the smartest person I know. I don't think I'm a sexist, but I also don't have my mothers brains, so who knows :dunce:;-)

my mother is the smartest person i know too.

i don't really post here, but i've enjoyed reading for a long while... the main posters in this thread provide a ton of information, lots of which is accurate;-).

lelani wasn't defending a side cause that what non-partisan's do. she mistakening thought she was in conversation and free debate with others who respected a difference in opinion.

non-partisan? My friend, if that was the case, she wouldn't wonder why she types to herself. (more then one thread)
she goes so quickly on the attack while editing what was truly said.

In fact, I wasted enough time on her being the subject.

I just don't understand how anyone could vote for McCain, especially not a stoner! He's creepy, old, sick, trigger happy, and way too close to death. Don't even get me started on HER either.. she's a dangerous wildcard who can't even stay loyal to him who polished her up and tossed her like chum in front of the media spotlight to do all his dirty work and say all the things it wouldn't be prudent for him to say. Fire up all the redneck, toofless, white sheet wearing cletus's into a hate fill frenzy, giving McSame plausible deniability when his staffers call her a rogue.
I may not like either of the candidates but I'd take an unflappable constitutional lawyer who thinks before he speaks ANY DAY.
Honestly, they ALL SUCK. You just can't get far in this fucked up political system and still keep your goodness. It's just not built that way. The inherent flaw in the system is that PEOPLE run it.

I don't understand how any one could possibly vote for Obama. His tax plan isn't a tax plan, it's a hand out. How does he propose to continue his system once it pushes the United States into the depths of another Great Depression like similar tax policies did under Hoover and FDR? How does he answer the charge that his economic policies have failed, and that his lack of consistency on the issue of decriminalization is disturbing?

How does he answer the charge that his education policies are absurd and violate the freedom of Americans to receive what they pay for. What the hell is the point of going to a public school if they are going to be more interested in forcing a person to do community service than in actually teaching them how to help the community. How does he anticipate that depriving children of time to be children will help them, when it has been shown that by playing games people keep their brains young and their creativity intact?

How does he justify that he wants to meet with foreign leaders that can only be called enemies of the United States with out preconditions?

While his heart is in the wrong place, is brain is most assuredly in the wrong place. The last thing this country needs is a bleeding heart liberal. Though from what I understand there is now a medical breakthrough that can fix that problem.

So, I only advise all liberals to visit your doctor tomorrow, and find out if that product is available in your area, or when it will become available in your area.

Of course, I supposed I should be insulted. Smoking Pot and being a conservative are not mutually exclusive items.

Breaking the law and being a conservative sure don't go hand in hand. Last time I checked, smoking herb is still illegal not because it's bad for you but because it's bad for the oil companies.

Conservatives do what they want and suffer the consequences. In what states are cigarettes banned? Blue states or red states? Don't be dull....."oil companies"......?

Being a liberal generally involves patriotic law breaking, if you don't believe something is good, protest it. Chain yourself to something, lay down in the streets and show up EN MASS to fight for what you believe in. Dissent is patriotic and I certainly don't see any conservatives who are interested in actually solving our economic crisis, just making sure their own are taken care of. Even if Obama drastically disappoints us all in the end, he's a safer bet.

Reduce foreign dependence on oil by legalizing industrial hemp, save our economy. Reduce the amount of money spent on the war on drugs, save our economy. Unless you're not for that.. in which case why are you here??

Cute. But ya'll act as if the first thing Obama is going to do is send Gmen to your house to collect all your valuables. Do you think he MIGHT just MAYBE take some steps to stabilize things before he puts more fair taxes into play? Do you think he's really going to take our children's childhoods away? What kind of fear mongering bullcrap is that? I'd prefer my children not have to suffer through or die in the nuclear war with Iran that trigger happy "preconditions=no diplomacy whatsoever" McCain WILL get us into.

I would suspect that the reason why most people are here is for the decriminalization of pot, not for the decriminalization of industrial hemp, which contains so little THC as to not be worth smoking.

Tell me how corn and hemp are similar. I dare ya. 1 acre of hemp=300 gallons of diesel. Corn is FOOD. How many acres of corn for that many gallons??

I'm here because I believe in the whole plant, not just the psychoactive part. And because I'm patriotic and love to share opinions, especially with people who disagree with me. What fun is there is arguing with yes men?

Do you know how much I would love for him to truly be the Maverick he claims to be?? My god, I'd parade through the streets naked if he actually was fiscally responsible enough to take the 60 billion dollars spent every year by the DEA to eradicate Hemp and use it for better things, like schools, roads, etc. Not pot, HEMP. 60 billion dollars to destroy something you kindly pointed out can't get you high.
