If we treat the rebel flag like the nazti swastika (which is really stolen from the bhudist religion anyways) then are we not just helping continue to keep raciscm alive in the first place? How about instead you just loose the damn flag for good and stop symbolizing the fact that it stands for racism and hatred instead of brothers killing brothers, or friends and family, it was a war that couldnt be won, nobody who fought in that war was a victor, neither side was because americans killed americans and only americans died. we literally killed eachother over the fact that they could no longer "own" another human being. That flag only allows the hype to continue. By allowing that flag to represent hatred and ignorance you only breed more hatred and ignorance into the following as it is... Keeping the flag around to continue to breed hate and stupidity into our youth makes no sense it doesnt belong anywhere but a museum as a piece of our already broken history. I also dont see why we forget that all of us north and south were all so so nice and peaceful to the native americans indigenous to the states right? We traded with them, gave them guns and they showed us how to farm and hunt and survive off the land and then we had a big party and killed every single last one of them but that first flag with 13 stars means the beginning of america to most people but what does it mean to native americans living on reservations in all of the parts of america we didnt want? Shall we just get upset about one mistake that we have made? Or should we go back through all of the bloody and terrible things we have done to become such a "great" country? People dont have respect for people, thats the root of the whole fucking issue. You want what your neighbor has so kill your neighbor and take his land, big business monoplises over small business and pushes them out of the margins to be lost and forgotten, our entire history of human beings is taking advantage over the next person in line to secure our own spot, we are a bunch of selfish parasites on the planet infecting mother nature destroying the planet and all the life within it since the dawn of human kind... lets be real here and someone show me any single event in history where humans did the right thing for the good of all humans that wasnt driven by personal agenda, jealousy, envy, greed, or hatred... like the spread of catholicism, spread gods word and religion with a sword and a choice, kneel or die, right that was the crusades and we were so good about converting all of those willing heathens who had no problem switching there belief systems and bowing to an unformilar god right? That was all in gods name like all the women we burned or stoned or drown to death in the salem witch trials to "protect" us from satin lol, now it and christianity are flourishing in the world we even put "in god we trust" on all of our money... seriously i find this flag shit to be so small of a problem when it barely spells out the real problem in humanity, its humanity, its us as a whole evil destructive species brought upon the earth like a plague. We cannot fix a problem by burrying it, we have to actually see what we did wrong in the first place to aknowledge what we do in the future to stop it from happenning again. We as a whole species need to come together as a whole and actually mutually respect one another for the simple fact that we exist and life is crucial. If we actually considered the outcome of a lot of things before we acted we may just begin to act a little differently. Ditch that ugly flag into a museum where we can remember how stupid and ignorant we were, not out in public to continue our ignorance... Also lets not forget that slavery couldnt have existed if african tribes didnt sell white settlers slaves in the first place, if people werent already being shitty to there own people and treating the general public across the globe like replaceable livestock that keeps the world fed and running. We literally have a global pandemic going on and we cant get half the world to agree on what to do or to do it in the first place to protect humanity, its a simple as basic hygenic practice and decency to your fellow human beings, cover your face, wash ur hands, dont touch every surface you see and dont flush a toilet then eat a sandwhich... its all so easy and yet so many individuals are saying fuck everyone but me lol. How are we to stop such a deep rooted issue when we cannot even get people to agree to wash their damn hands and face so they are not contributing to the spread of death and sickness?

You are on point with a lot of this, the social division is stopping people from getting accurate information because like the saying goes, 'a lie is twice around the world before the truth get's it's boots on'. That is why it is so important to stop this Trump troll (foreign and domestic) attack on our democracy. We need to be able to come together about reality, without politicians and their trolls spreading lies to confuse everyone so Dear Leader can skate by his mistakes.

The American flag has flown over many bad things that have happened in our countries history, but it is the flag of our country for better or for worse. Like you said the Rebel flag belongs in a museum to show our hate as a people, unfortunately people have wrongly adopted it as a giant middle finger to our society and use it as a symbol of hate of the 'other'.
