1st time grower looking for input

Hey all,

About 5.5 weeks (from sprout) into my first auto flower grow. Using FFOF in 5 gallon fabric pots.

Just started feeding using fox farm trio at 1/4 strength about a week ago and things seem to be going pretty well.

I have 3 plants going in a 4x4 tent with a HLG 550 RSPEC (full strength 30 inches from canopy). My pineapple kush and beast mode auto have started to droop in the upper leaves, while my ak47 (who got off to a slow starts) looks to be doing good still.

I've only watered when the pots seem light with water ph'd 6.25-6.5.

Any thoughts or advice at what could be causing this? Anything else I should be concerned about?

I'm no expert but the first pic looks to be overwater. 3rd pic looks like maybe some clawing with some pretty dark green leaves. So maybe a little heavy on the N.

I'd definitely get a second opinion on that diagnosis though.

Thanks for your thoughts! I've always waited until the top of the soil was dry to my knuckle and the pot seemed light when picking it up. The two biggers ones have seemed to need water about every other day and the smaller one would go a little longer. Does that seem about right for their size?

I have been watering until I see run off in the pot but haven't really been tracking the amount of water I give each feeding. Should I limit the quantity as well as the frequency?

It's been about a day since my last watering and they seem to have bounced back.

I'll see if waiting a little longer between waterings helps keep them happy.

Any other thoughts or concerns regarding my grow would be appreciated!

Bottom fan leaves are starting to yellow. Anything to be worried about? I've been feeding with fox farm trio at about 1/3 strength every other watering and I have been phing the water to 6.0-6.5.

ph your runoff to make sure the soil is in the right range, should be ok though. I'm not experienced with autos but with photos that would be how the bottom foliage would start to look towards the last weeks of flowering; the rest of her looks good. Have you done any pruning at all?

No pruning yet. Thought it may be using the nutes from the lower leaves so didn't want to remove them just yet. One leaf is starting to brown so I was going to take that one off soon. Should I clean a few of the others off too? I haven't check pH of run off so I will do that at next feeding.

I was actually thinking the opposite; the leaf is turning yellow because the plant is focusing her energy on flowering. Nitrogen uptake is reduced at this point so you’ll start to see yellowing in the lower part of the plant. I suggest you prune below the 3/4 of the plant; slowly by increments. Prune some one day then wait a few days and prune some more. This will help drive the energy to the buds rather than to keeping under bush alive.

Nitrogen uptake is reduced at this point so you’ll start to see yellowing in the lower part of the plant. I suggest you prune below the 3/4 of the plant; slowly by increments. Makes sense. I will do some light clean up and see how she responds.

I picked up a SensorPush Bluetooth device that I have hanging at canopy level. My temps have been getting higher once I turned the light up to 100%. With lights on it gets up to mid 80s and will on occasion get to high 80s. Could this be adding to my issues? I have the tent venting out a window and the room is cooled by central ac. I ordered a 2nd 6 inch ac Cloudline fan to use as an intake, but covid has it delayed and it's taking forever to get here. Should I dim down the lights to drop the temp or let it go and deal with temps as best I can?

Combining the fact she’s going into flower with your soil being a bit too acidic is what’s causing yellowing and a bit of discoloration in the foliage. You did good just watering her for a bit; I would hold off on feeding for a couple more days to see how she reacts, specially in the new growth. Besides there’s plenty of food for her to take if/when she needs it. Keep doing what you’re doing about feeling the pot and soil to know when to water; trying to listen to her is usually the best way to know she needs (life pro tip: apply this to every relationship and you’ll do good in life). Na don't panic, remember she's a weed, weeds don't die that easy. Until you have your ph in check she'll continue to show signs of distress. Check if the leaves that are yellow are easy to remove or feel flimsy; if they are this is a sign of nitrogen deficiency due to your ph being out of range. Since the ph is out of range she can't uptake nitrogen as needed. Keep watering her with ph corrected water and 1/4 strength feed for a few more days then check run off again. Once she's in good range continue regular feeding. Shell be fine.

Gave them a couple feedings one with 1/4 strength nutes and another with just water pH to 6.5. The other two plants seem to be doing well but my problem child still seems to be yellowing but I have noticed some growth and the buds seem to be getting a little bigger though they are much smaller and less dense then the other plants. Here are a few more pics of the questionable plant. I've also noticed a few bulbs with small hairs coming out.....are these pollen sacs? Anything to be worried about?

I'm going to keep feeding/water as needed unless anyone feels I need to do anything more?

Things have gone from bad to worse.......went away for the weekend and came home to this. I gave them a heavy does of plain tap watered PhD to 6.5. yellowing has seemed to spread throughout the plant and most of the large fan leaves have died. Any advice? The other two plants are under watered at the moment but are also yellowing as well? Is this something other than a nitrogen issue?
