WOuld it be beneficial to have BOTH a MH and a HPS light in your grow room (as in run them at the same time?)

I always hear MH is better for growth and HPS for flowering and vice versa.......which is it? I figure have them both??? A MH light and a HPS light running at the same time? Between the 2 you should have ALL light spectrums covered for even faster plant growth ehh??

Coments?

Im thinking a 400w HPS and a 400W MH in a 5x2 small room. I was thinking of just hanging them down from the lamp cord and not use the reflectors since the space is so small.....anyone have expreience with this type of setup? Ive seen lots of grow rooms where there lights just hang and no reflectors are used at all.

I don't know if I'd go with out the reflectors.
I went to Wal-Mart, back in the camping stuff they have mylar camping blankets
there under 2 bucks and I think there 3 x 6. I've got my whole grow space lined with it.
I swear to god it doubled the brightness of the area.

Reflectors dont give more light, they direct light...the light output is the same, however the reflectors are used to reflect light back to the plant. The blankets are a great idea....Top? Do you find any hotspots are created from the blanket?

Definitely have a reflector if its possible, just make sure you have a good one. A horizonal reflector is going to be the most efficient.
