Whats your average height for autoflowers?

Thanks, all very new to growing but I'm enjoying the experience, biobiz light mix, bio nutes, under a sf4000.
For being a newbie you got a very green thumb bro; great work.

Don't top autos. My tallest was just over 6' a Fast Buds I think, 2 fast 2 cash or something like that. Its been a while. For the last 4 or 5 yrs I LST all of mine and they are usually 4' max. Strain doesn't matter. :bigjoint:
I've been looking at gelato from fast buds for my next grow; she's not that tall and supposedly super potent at +20%. There's other versions out there but I heard the one that is fire is the Gelato (Sunset Sherbet x GSC thin mints) x (GSC x unknown ruderalis). I also plan on doing just LST on my first auto; topping seems counterproductive taking into account how fast it grows, seems it would spend too much time recuperating instead of growing and waste important time.

2 fast for buds lol heres some of my autos I got them up to 3 feet so far in 3 gallon pots I think alot has to do with experience you get better in my experience so far hydro is a lot easier you check yousr ppms and ph soil has alot of guesswork but is more rewarding when you overcome the challenges in the end and you find the sweet spot
Those are beautiful. I'm also planning on using 3 gal pots; this would be my first organic grow and my first auto. I haven't grown in a while; used to do nothing but hydro with a Waterfarm but it was too much work. I'm planning a good soil recipe and let it sit for about a month before starting the grow. I'll be using FFOF as the base soil and ill add several amendments and let that "cook". Then I'll use about 3/4 of the pot with the super soil then the top he remaining 1/4 of the pot I'll use a mix of FFOF and FF light warrior to start the seed and keep the seedling from burning. Then it'll just be ph'ed water to harvest; she should have everything she needs already. Maybe I'll use molasses during flower but I don't think that's necessary either. We'll see how it goes. I think with hydro you have more control but its also very time consuming and I'm a lot older now lol don't have that kind of time or energy anymore.

She looks great ! How tall is she? It'll be a while but yeah for sure i'll tag you. This is the recipe for the soil i'll be using; first time doing organics so it'll be fun to see how it goes.
Fox Farm Ocean Forest
Wiggle Worm EWC
Mycorrhizae Great white
Espoma Organic Perlite
Espoma Tomato tone Organic Fertilizer 3-5-6
Espoma kelp meal 1-0-2
Mix thoroughly, dampen and let “cook” for 3-4 weeks.

1.25lbs or 20 ounces steamed bone meal
1.25lbs or 20 ounces bloom bat guano
1.25lbs or 20 ounces blood meal
3/4 lbs rock phosphate
3/16 cup or 3 tablespoons Epsom Salts
1/8 cup or 2 tablespoons sweet lime (dolomite)

I have 2 auto bruce banners going, one of them I'm pretty sure is done stretch. I doubt either will break 2'. That's being said I tied them down a lot and they're very bushy.
That's the idea though no? For me at least I rather have a bushy tree than a tall and stalky one. Not to keep them short but to keep the canopy as even as possible. 2' would be a perfect size for the space I'm building. Thanks for the input!

I just actually recognized your handle friend @ApexseasOG - you've commented on my grow!

Well that's what the lst is all about. It's a bit shocking when done w autos I think bc you have so little time to get that right shape. You have to get at it early and often until shes like 2 weeks into flower. My experience so far with that strain anyways.

Yes I have! Your grow is going great as well! It'll definitely be interesting to see how I manage with lst and autos. With photos I usually take a while in veg getting the perfect canopy using a combination of lst and scrog; not sure how much i'll be able to get done with a shorter and unknown veg time.

Only grow a couple of plants at a time and crank mine down throughout grow. Top of soil to top of tallest bud is seldom 20".
Those are some perfect looking short autos! That would be the perfect height for the space I'm creating and they look like really good yielders. What strain are those?

You’ll be fine. At some point you will be adjusting the ties everyday. As long as you have the time to put in it will be no problem
