The hole is probably a bug. And it looks very close to nutrient burn.
This was my initial thought but seems odd to me because I haven’t fed it anything yet! It’s week 4 since germination. I planted the seed in a 5 gal bucket with fox farm happy frog soil. I’ve been watching the watering carefully letting the first couple inches (3-5) dry out before watering again since it’s in quite a large pot.

Potting soil comes pretty rich in nutes and autos are typically lighter feeders. I would just keep giving her water and monitor it. Your leaves are dark green and it looks like a burnt tip. 5 gallons is big, as the roots stretch out, they find more nutrients. When it comes to soil grows, i usually see people overfeeding a lot more often than underfeeding.

That’s very helpful thank you, I plan on starting to feed she with a little flora gro within the next week or so. I also am using two 50 way LED‘s to assist growth because I’m in a cold country and the weather has been poor lately. The LED lights are roughly 5 inches away so I’ll scale back a bit more and see if it helps.

How much do you recommend letting the water dry out? I’m afraid I’m actually under watering it!

Depends how fast the plant drinks it. When the pot feels close to as light as it did when you filled it with fresh soil is when it is ready for more water.

It’s so hard for me to tell because I know it’s damp at the bottom I have this meter I use for my other plants... I’m watering right now maybe 0.4 litres a week! That to me seems wild no?

yeah I’m thinking so, well maybe 0.4 gal once or twice is more accurate.
Thats sounding a little more correct. It will take some time for the roots to fill up the pot so keep that in mind. 5 gallons of dirt gets saturated with about 1 gallon of water. If you are growing in a 5 gallon plastic bucket, did you put drain holes in the bottom? You need drain holes.

Oh ya I drilled plenty holes at the bottom, next time I would actually put holes along the sides of the bucket close to the bottom for more drainage and airflow...

nah, just put a layer of gravel at the bottom and some perlite, than put extra perlite in your growing medium

Ah see I didn’t do that but I did add in plenty extra perlite throughout. I put natural un-bleached coffee filters to prevent the soil from falling through

Coffee filters barely let water through and plugged up with fine dirt particles..... i would be worried your holes are plugged. The pots i use have pretty large holes in the bottoms and very very little soil gets through them. Try drilling some 1/4-1/2 inch holes in the side, right at the very bottom of the bucket.

O snap right I will find a way to remove them from the bottom. Good thing I mentioned it!

Just poke holes in them with a knife if you are confident you can get at the bottom with out fucking anything up. A little dirt coming through the holes is no big deal.
