Problems with new plants - weak stem

hello!! this is my first time growing and i have a very very beginner set up. i’m growing two gorilla glue plants and they’re about a month old. the leaves on them look pretty good, but their stems are very weak. also, the leaves on one of my plants is curling downward and the ends of the leaves are appearing more rounded. they’re currently each under a 40w CFL and are getting a decent amount of breeze blowing on them. does anyone have any help/ advice for a new grower?

Victim of your own success!

They need transplanting to a larger container. Once there make sure they get watered and the light is as close as safely possible. It looks fine just tall for a solo cup.

Your plants can take way more wind then you think without getting wind burn, so it might not hurt to turn up the fan a bit to.

i only have these 40w cfls at the moment but i’m actually planning on putting them outside once i re-pot them. do you think that would also help the stretching?
Outdoor is like the magical potion for success, I swear if I’m ever having a bad grow indoors I’ll put it outside and it takes off:weed:

Other than the environmental changes, what steps do you take when switching from indoor to outdoor?
I like to put them outside when we’re gonna have a few days of rain or cooler days cause the sun is insanely strong compared to any grow light you’ll get. I like to put it outside directly into the ground if I can to, I don’t know why but I feel like it helps. And I make sure to keep the soil pretty moist/wet at first to minimize the light burn on my plant. but within a week it’s like no matter what it always gets super healthy!

Awesome! Thanks for the tip! I'm also a newbie and am trying to soak up as much info as possible. How do you supply the plants with nutrients when they're directly in the ground? What type of soil do you use in that situation.

I just dig a hole a little bigger the the plant that I’m transplanting and fill it in with the same soil I was using while it was in the pot, and I use fox farm bottled nutrients. I usually Use a gallon on each plant every 2 days and use nutrients every other watering .

Ok. I have a few that are about 3.5 weeks old and trying to decide if i want to move some outside. They are in various mediums and were getting some miracle gro and super thrive until i over did it when i transfers them into 1 gallon pots about 8 days ago. I've watered till run off twice since then with water only. Going to start with the GH series of nutrients at 1/4 strength when i return home Tuesday. This is my first run and im kind of wanting to experiment with a couple different methods to see which i take to the best.
Any advice for a guy in over his head, but willing to study and is a quick learner? A few pics of what i have going on right now. Have another tent and light coming on Tuesday.
