Hello all so I have a question why is it always when you smoke home grown it taste harsh like hay
What's the proper way to dry and cureYou didnt grow very good bud.
You jarred too early.
You followed a bag box humidity approach and didnt dry properly.
It should taste and be ready before jarring, that way jarring dosent turn it to hay and you dont even need to jar.
You overfertilized.
Thats a short list.

Because there are 50 guides and 500 youtube videos on the subject and you are asking someone to write that all out for you instead of typing in a basic internet search and reading a few articles... to educate yourselfOk why is that
The GrowWeedEasy site is a great guide for all things cannabis.Because there are 50 guides and 500 youtube videos on the subject and you are asking someone to write that all out for you instead of typing in a basic internet search and reading a few articles... to educate yourself
This is the answer right here. I will also add genetics to the list because if the genetics stink then your buds probably won’t.Reasons why your buds taste like crap
- Harvested too early
- Dried too fast
That's another thing. Many people are starting their cure too soon and have wet weed sitting in jars getting nasty. I'm not a hater of the cure but I do prefer my weed fresher rather than cured for months. I understand how a proper cure can bring things out. But I don't have time for all that burping and other stuff so I dry slowly until it can be jarred without fear of mold and call it a day. I give most away and anything older than a few months gets put into the dry ice hash bin.as a note. If you jarred too early, too wet and didn't burp correct, it smells like ammonia...then mold. Watch some videos, it's really easy.
I hear ya. I like both ways depending on strain. I have one that progressively gets way better tasting, and super smooth after 4-6 weeks. That's another thing. I like fresh weed. I don't like old cured weed. When I smoked cigarettes years ago I smoked Winston's. I drink Scotch. I like in your face tastes not mellow subtle tones. Even with wine. I like a bold Cabernet. Tastes vary. I like a good 3 - 4 week slow dried bowl over a 3 month cured bowl.
Thinking about in your face tastes. I've decided I'm making Chicken Laab for dinner. Lemongrass, fish sauce, lime, onion, mint. In your face flavors.
