Tested the air flow and temps upstairs before I buy all of my equipment - Was running the room about 68 degrees.

Take into account this room is on the 3rd floor, it's a finished room next to the attic. But installed a separate window unit to cool it down and then I'm going to use the central AC unit vent from the floor and run a 4" duct to blow cool air into the tent :) (Thanks @Airwalker16 )

So with all of that - I'm assuming my temps should be pretty damn solid!
What kind and size fan are you using for carbon filter and exhaust?

Fuckin hell ya. THis will be a really nice run. I bet humidity is higher in attic though
That fan turns on and will keep the exhaust from entering back in the attic. So if the humidity is let's say..... 70-80% in the attic itself, how detrimental will that be for my grow? My tent will most likely be about 18 feet away from that room exhaust.

Haven't decided yet - was going to build the rdwc setup first to get all the kinks worked out with potential leaks, flow, temps, etc. Was worrying about the ducting, Carbon filter, fan, etc after the fact. What size would you suggest? Maybe a 6" inline?

I run the Vivosun 6” and it works great. You will have some smell when you hit flowering stage throughout the same level in your home no matter what you do. If you open the door to your grow room that smell will fill the house, carbon filters get most but not all of the smell, just know that.

This finished room I'm using (9x9) is on my 3rd floor by the attic. Separate window unit for AC and plus hooking up a 4" ducting to my central AC vent which goes to this 3rd floor. No other rooms, etc are on this floor. It's that small room and then the stairs to my office next to our bedroom on the 2nd floor. Company is only ever on the first floor. About 52 stairs and many more steps away.

I promise you that when she hits flowering stage you will smell a faint weed smell all throughout the house. Very faint but there. Mine is in the basement and some friends came over that didnt know about it and said they smelled a hint of weed right when they walked in. I would say carbon filters probably take 90% of the smell. You will be opening the door to that room to check/tend to the plants, right then and there odor escapes not to mention the carbon filter wont catch every odor particle. But most of the smell will be because of you opening the tent/room door.

So what if you were to use a second filter to pull from a different area of the tent as well? Or any other suggestions? This is supposed to be a stealth grow :P
BUT I smoke all day long, so realistically, it won't matter much unless my neighbors can smell it. Which I'm sure with the scrubber and then use some odor absorbing gel?

Nah man, its like trying to avoid your entire body from getting wet while using an umbrella....feet still going to get wet. A small amount of Odor will still find its way into your house because you are opening the tent and grow room to tend to the plants, usually every day or every other day. In your situation since its on 3rd floor, I will bet you any amount of money you get a little odor all throughout the 2nd floor

Welp, I guess that's just some of the downfalls of growing :)

Thanks for the advice.

You won't smell jack Shit venting into your attic. You'll just need to have that attic exhaust fan in the roof on 24/7. Same as your exhaust too. 6" will be perfect.

Yeah the ducting will go from the scrubber to the attic - out the attic exhaust fan. Then I'll be bringing in fresh new air from the central ac vent in the room with 4" ducting to the tent.

Everytime you open that rooms door and tent you will have odor escape. And in flower stage that odor will be super strong. We all dont really notice it because we are used to it. But someone who doesnt live there walks in and they will smell weed. Guarantee you. My girlfriend has said many times she smelled it on me just because I went in the grow room to check some temps for 60 seconds and came back. Shits strong if you got a good strain.

Also make sure younger at me before buying your fan, I'll link you to the one to buy. Avoid all big metal cased centrifugal heavy weighted center ones. You want plastic axial style.

The terrabloom model. Wonderful fan. I own it but without the 3 spree controller built in to the cord and ita just a no name model, no branding. I know a seller that has them cheap. Just let me kbow when you're ready to buy it and well get you the link

What kind of fan should I be getting to bring in the air to the tent via the central ac? And will do! It was one of my favorite fans that I saw
