This is first full run using my HLG v2 respc board which replaced a 150w CMH. Having a small cab in the bilge of my boat makes for interesting conditions. Primarily a lack of vertical height. Knowing the HLG is considerably more intense than the CMH I have been playing with the wattage to somewhat mimic the CMH. The plants below are clones from a strain I have run for years. They were all grown in FFOF with just tap water of 7.5 that is pHed to 6.5 under a combination of a 55W 6500K duotube and a 70W HPS. Light were within 5-6" of plants. I took two healthy clones and transplanted them to a 3 gal container and began the LSTing process. After several days of tying and pinning the braches I moved the 3 gal container into the bilge and flipped on the HLG at 50Watts. The plants are 14" from the board and using a cell phone lux meter ( I know they may not be too accurate) I have a lux of 26K . Temps of 75 at 63%. From the photos you can see how healthy the sister plant in the 1 qt conatiner is but the plant under the LED within 5 days have turned leathery and just not looking happy. They are still on a low carb diet of plain H2O. Is this just a case of light shock or something else ? I will add - in the past I have had issues moving my clones from the 55w duotube 6500K to the old CMH. - always seem to take a week for the adjustment. This time around I had both the duotube and the 70w HPS plastered to the plants hoping to avoid this. Any thoughts ?
