uv light breaks down chloramines rather quickly
You can't just use any UV light, you need high intensity broad spectrum UV, and I'm pretty sure you also need to use it on a narrow sleeve the water goes through, because UV will only penetrate water so deep before it becomes ineffective.

Jesus, man...those are used for sanitizing the surface of things. I'm starting to think you are just a troll because you act like you know a lot but you clearly don't know what you are talking about.

I'd be willing to bet that wouldn't remove chloramine from a 5 gallon fish tank and it probably does very little to control algae.

Or you could just not worry about the chlorine/chloramine that is at or below the permitted levels in public water supplies, because there are plenty of advanced growers who don't, and their results speak volumes.

Yeah, when you act like an expert, and give people bad advice, then I speak up.

When you post shit like this:

While running a fire hazard like this:

Then your credibility goes out the window. In my opinion you know just enough to be dangerous but I honeslty do hope you learn more because you are definitely passionate about growing.

What happened in Flint isn't normal, or common, and it didn't even happen in the country you live in. It happened in the country I live in but that doesn't mean is happens everywhere else in the US. I read my water quality report every year, do you?

I water straight from the tap and have for decades. We have both chloramine and chlorine in our water. The plants love it. Some people make too big of a deal out of a little chloramine in their water but they think nothing of dumping a bottle of snake oil on their plants full of unlisted ingredients or spraying toxins on their plants to get rid of bugs. It makes no sense.
