Excuse me if im taking ur repy out of context but for us anyone who tested positive was contact traced so anyone they had been in close proximity to was asked to self isolate for 14 days. Workmates, Family, anyone who they might of been to close to for the prev 14 days.

We even shut down a hospital when we had an outbreak in the medical staff. The whole workforce of the hospital was sent home and had to self isolate including anyone in their household and close contacts. All the patients got sent to another hospital and that hospital was a no go zone for the general public. Infected Hospital was deep cleaned in this time.

Australia also has a Govt Covid app that uses blue tooth to connect to other phones with the app. This helps in Contact tracing as well.

In recent posts I think we've both made clear that widespread testing, contact tracing and isolation protocols for those who have been exposed is the only rational and proven effective means of both rescuing economies and minimize loss of life during the time when we have no effective treatment to prevent or treat the disease.

What staggers me is that England doesn't seem to be following this prescription and are simply going to let the epidemic flare back up. I do not understand this.

I think building out high speed internet and upgrading it can help alot with working from home. The British economy and world economy depends on the "city" the financial district of London, however almost all these people are capable of working from home much of the time (keeps public transit use down too). Working and shopping from home can keep the wheels turning in some sectors of the economy and help a lot with personal distancing. Skype and zoom have allowed the news and some entertainment media to function almost as normal. We need all the rest too, testing contact tracing and NPI's to survive, not just individually, but economicly and a socially too.

Our province is still locked down (sort of) with sit down dining, hair salons, etc. still closed. I’m still working from home but expect I may return soon (I miss my desk), and it’s hard not to get side tracked lol. I really hope we open up soon, and not for myself but I can see that the not having structure is taking its toll on people and kids. Our health unit has not had a new case in 26 days but I believe the province wide track g is still an issue so the government is reluctant to let go. Hopefully this thing is contained and manageable until or if a vaccine is made available.

I think the summer and being smart might give us some respite, however there have been mass protests across Canada too, hopefully the masks, distancing, sunshine, fresh air and knocking the infection rate down helped. I can see a lot of asymptomatic cases among the young in our future. Perhaps the government should test those who attend, set up testing at protests or at the entrance to them, rapid testing is essential though. It will be an interesting and unintended experiment in the summer spread of this, with masks worn for the most part. We await the spike at the usual time.

I see Utah is spiking and AZ is going into medical crises and lockdown soon. Other states will be in crises soon.

Not a whole lot of mask wearing here and it’s not that there is a shortage :(. I wear one every where I go and our techs wear o e every call. Yes it will be interesting re opening.
