wait being the key word. I get taproots on day 3(not sure why you implied that isn't good...) and then I plant it literally JUST below the surface and I have my cotyledon leaves on day 4. Any time I've ever seen a seed planted it takes 7 days minimum. Am I doing something wrong?

No I’m just saying the easiest, “safest” way is drop and wait. Drop smoke and wait. No I don’t have any super powers to make my seeds germinate any faster than anyone else.

I used to do the paper towel. I’m clumsy and impatient. It was a disaster.

Ahh, youtube. I don't watch any of those cannabis youtube videos. Too many hacks and the rest are some hydro shops infomercials for some product they're pushing. I kept hearing about some Kanuck dude, skimmed through one of his videos and saw a bunch of nasty burnt to a crisp plants.

yeah, alot of them are iffy. Lex has good grows and has pretty in depth knowledge about topics pertaining to grows. I usually stick to the Jorge Cervantes' bible and another grow bible I have on hand, but it's useful to get different opinions and perspectives.

Or just plant them instead .... just like Mother Nature intended.

I planted the one in the third picture to the very right, that is growing the cotyledon already in pro-mix. How high a chance you'd say germination is in going direct seed to soil? I was thinking about doing that for all of them, and if this doesn't work out that might be the next best plan.

Drop, water, , wait.....couldn’t be easier.

I have no problem waiting, just very new to this. I took in a seedling and started growing it out doors, now I'm working on growing successfully indoors

Lex is a calm, relaxed dude who doesn’t just hype his free to him equipment. He’s worth a view if one is learning.

I also don’t find the damp paper towel method to be a hassle. If you check daily, you can usually grab the seeds with shorter tap roots. I use tweezers. If it seems intertwined with the napkin, plant it with a piece of the paper towel. No biggie.
