Had something that's was bothering me and I need to know, am I the asshole?
Story: a buddy and I go to a local seed store to purchase some autoflower seeds, I've heard this particular place gives freebies to previous customers so I was eager to go as I have bought glass there before and knew we would get freebies. So we go and since I already have seeds on the way via mail I tell my buddy that, if interested, we could do a split on a 5 pack to save some money, he agrees and I offer to only take 2 seeds of the 5 and give him the appropriate amount of cash for the seeds. After the purchase we are given a 10 pack of regular seeds as a freebie, which is awesome and I was grateful. Due to not having a Proper way to divide the seeds when we went our separate ways my friend ended up taking all of the 10 freebies home and told me we could decide later what the plan was. Fast forward to now, I am told that 7 of the seeds have been planted for a couple weeks and he has given away 3 plants, he has also planted 4 of the other plants into 2 pots, so 2 per 10g pot.
I was pretty upset because as far as I'm concerned I should get at least 1/3rd of the female plants and since these are not feminized we have no idea how many females these 10 seeds hold. Im okay with being generous don't get me wrong, I just think that the plants that end up being female should have been cloned and then the clones get gifted to people to assure that we got a fair split. Now my friend has offered to just give me the 3 seeds left over or just one of the female plants/the yield of a female plant, problem is that he has them planted 2 per pot and we have differences in the way we treat our plants so I don't really want his harvest.
Am I the asshole for being upset?
Also should I just take the 3 seeds and pray for a female then never purchase seeds with friends again? Lol
