Cheapest way to water 2 smart pots without opening tent?

Anyone have a good suggestion of how I can water&feed two 5 gallon coco/perlite smart pots in a 2x4 tent without having to open the tent? I'm trying to find a way to minimize opening the tent during flower to minimize smell escaping. The diy drip system on cocoforcannabis looks nice but the parts add up to like $150 not including the parts for their drain saucers and auto pumping drain bucket.

Just have a reservoir for water outside, run 1/2" tubing to a tee, and reduce to drip rings at the containers. Use a small 200gph pump and a ball valve to throttle the flow to your liking. Then you can just plug it in for a minute and unplug it. Or even set it on a timer to water twice a day for 1 minute using a NearPow deep cycle timer.

Can you use them with nutrients? I thought only water would work with them. Might look into a couple of these I've read a lot of people like them.
I use nutrients. Never have an issue. It also depends on the nutrients you use. If you use something that's clean and clear like Jacks or Masterblend like I do you won't have any issues. Some of the darker sludgy nutrients probably wouldn't be a good choice.

Jacks, Calcium Nitrate and Epsom Salts?

Well it makes a difference from company to company.s
I use VitaGrow which is just a slightly different blend. Jacks is 5-12-26. VitaGrow is 4-10-20. Both are just a mixture of chemical salts that dissolve cleanly and don't leave any residue that could clog the small diameter lines that run to the blumat sensors. I was referring to some of the nutrient lines that have humics and other organic ingredients that can precipitate out and cause sludge buildup as not being good candidates to use with the blumat system.

I have been using the Platinum Hydrostar 40, it has 4 pots but you can just use 2 or use the unit on one large plant. Its never had any real issues growing with cocco and i fill it once a week and you are good to go setup one time on the light and one for water pump.

It took me 1hr to set it up. Its easy. Many will say DIY but I like the stealth bomber look to it and its easy to set up. Good for 2-4 plants. I have grown with it many times now and would use nothing else.

(1) small fountain pump w/ reservoir outside tent, piped into the tent via drip line....put each plant on a flood tray, in a large tote, or even the tray in a dog crate will work (anything to catch the run off). Pipe flood tray or tote to drain into a sealed reservoir inside your tent, with a small fountain pump inside, being piped out of the tent.

Turn on main pump, water plants, run off drains from plants and accumulates in a separate waste reservoir, then you pump it out by plugging in the other smaller pump and you're done. You could go all cycle and never open the tent on account of watering. If you're resourceful, you could probably put something together that would work for half of what you noted in your original post. Good luck.
