Blue cheese advice newbie

Hi folks, I’ve been asking a couple of questions last day or two. This is about my 2 blue cheese plants. Both in flower for 73 days, but I feel image 1 looks more “done” than the plant in image “2”. The final image is of what I believe is a polyploid on plant 2.
To me image 1 is approx 2-3 weeks from harvest but I’m unsure on the second plant. I’ve been told to hold back on the nitrogen, does that mean without all nutrients. They are on Cana 1&2 Dutch explode and pk in correct measure.

I would buy a handheld magnifier and I would check the trichomes. First the trichomes are clear then cloudy and then amber, you want to harvet your ladies when it becomes cloudy someone prefer amber but I would suggest that. If you dont really know what am I talking about I would watch a video of it. Also these hand magnifiers are not that expensive and they can helo a lot!

Looks like they could use a little less nutrients. I dont know about your guestimates but neither looks very ready to me.
I would just back off on the feedings, and continue on.

You can’t see the colour of the trichomes just with your eyes

Yea, I'd stop feeding all together. No need to flush, but no need to keep feeding with how close you are.

As for when they're done, when in doubt, add a week or 2.

Your best bet, is to snip a nug off, quick dry it using some kind of desiccant or other method, and test the high.

You can use pistil receding/color, calyx swelling, and trich color, but at the end of the day, those are just guestimations.. theres no such thing as the perfect time to cut. As long as you enjoy the high, and the plants meet most of the above criteria of doneness guesstimation, they're ready to be cut.

I usually cut between week 10-12 of flower, so I'd say your pretty damn close

Have one on order. We’ve very posh macro cameras but my eyes are average. I’ve a 4K telly with SD eyes lol

I have a pocket microscope I used to look at hand samples in college. Only cost $20 and it’s surprisingly powerful. Def recommend something like that

Its just a guess you dont know it 100%!

Pistils are the easiest sign to go by. Wait till the majority are brown, and some have receded.
I have had cloudy and amber trich's from very early flower.
