What about tobacco?
That's certainly treated with fungicide in Canada and Thailand.
Would also point out all the commercial cannabis growers in Canada most certainly use fungicide on their crops.

Lots of 'organic/vegan/hippie' nutters posting in this forum, they seem to know almost nothing about anything, insist on using expensive 'cannabis' marketed nutrients (at 10x the price of normal fertiliser), not much in the way of hard facts or original thinking, lots of 'political' grows.

I know from experience that using high end dirt blended for weed (20$/cubic foot) and just a little dry organic amendment in flower (2$ a pound) gets awesome results. Spending a hundred bucks on dirt and amendment to do a "large hobby" size grow is very little money in my opinion- you will be spending at least 4x that on electricity. I have watched so many people try to skimp and use cheap dirt and fail miserably. When you set everything up correctly, you almost have to purposely try to fail.

I do agree that all the bottles of snake oil for sale are a major waste of money for the average home grower.

You really arent supposed to put anything on plants once they start flowering.

Why is it that just because someone doesn't use poisons in their gardens that makes them a know nothing hippy?

I dont use anything close to designer soil or nutes...infact my grow is cheaper then most. However even if I just grew for myself, i do smoke out my friends and family all the time. There is absolutely no reason to put poisons on plants just because the big agriculture grows do.
But hey like someone else said.... if you want to use it and put it into your body...more power to you

My mom also really believes in using as little or ideally no pesticides too.

One of the reasons cancer rates and modern diseases are prevalent is because of things big agriculture does with its produce.

Yet at the same time you can get ripped off because you think you're buying organic and it's actually not.

Alls I use is preblended dry nutes in aged manure. Cheap as could be...like Jobes or espoma

Keeping your plants in peak health goes along way to preventing mold and pests. Most growers, even the big corporate ones, know you shouldn't be spraying anything on your flowers....they can't afford to have a whole harvest fail pesticide screening. A smart IPM program is not just centered around chemical dependence.
