Haha I have seen the hate for AN while lurking, and I have also seen people who like it. I only have a tiny grow room and can afford AN. I don't have your knowledge and experience to make my own food. I don't have the time to experiment with different lines of food. Yes AN is crazy expensive but if I can afford it, and it gives me good results as a ready made line of products, why is it so bad that I use it while I learn? I have 1 plant... it is not like I am feeding a huge grow room and its costing me thousands. I got their while line with all their extras for a few hundred dollars more than if it was GH.
Is the price of AN why everyone hates it? They make good stuff, its not enough to justify the price good sure, but theres a premium for top end products that some people don't mind paying. I did not get suckered into AN, I was given some by the hydro store to try and it worked like magic for a person on his first grow ever.

you spent 700 bucks on nutes when a 1 kilo bag of GH maxibloom would get you better results. for 20 bucks. that makes you a sucker for AN and their advertising.
are you related to Big Mike? we do get a lot of AN shills here that claim they are the best nutes. kinda like you are doing.

And there are tons of people who think it is worth it. I personally had my best results with it. I did start with GH, and then went and got some of their extras, as soon as I added some voodoo juice into the mix the plant went mad. Next grow was AN and I was not disappointed. As soon as I can find an easy replacement with as good or better results I can switch when it runs out, but to me 400 vs 700 a year in plant food is not a big deal to begin with. I was looking at earth juice and I was going to try to try some of their products in soil side by side with AN in summer so I can throw them outside. Just an experiment. In the end I don't care what I use or what it costs. I just want big grows with big potent buds.

nutes are about 5 % of the equation. grower skills, which you obviously lack, are probably 70%. lights/enviro are 25%.

I will make it a point to try it though in soil outside. I can't find any comparisons online. I can't ditch 700 dollars in plant food man. I know organic food is the tougher route with what I have but I have used it and it worked. My problems were a combination of overheating, res temp, and low water flow, that is fixed. I will spend the time finding cheaper food while I use it up as long as it produces as good results. I really don't care what I feed it, I just liked what I saw when AN and stuck to it.
I won't every buy AN products if they are involved in pedophilia. I gotta find out more about that. How terrible.

You are right. I don't have the skills, the little skills I got from 10 years ago are all but gone. When I started this recently, I found out my light sucked, so I fixed it. I found out optimal temperatures and humidity and I have controllers for it, I am only missing my AC and Chiller which are on their way so I am running my tent open keeping the water and windows open around 18c. So I am on the right track. I am willing to learn. I just felt like you were jumping to conclusions. I sought organic food on purpose, I know it is easier running salts in a sterile environment but that is not what I want. I read up on the pros and cons of both.
The first time I did organic AN was in worse environment and much less knowledge and it went well. Lots of people hate organic in hydroponics but lots swear by it. I gotta walk my own path, i ask for help if i get lost and learn as much as I can along the way. There is tons of conflicting information, i try to suck it up and make my own choices in the end.

that was also my point. get good at growing with the 3part first (and cal/mg if needed). it works perfectly for millions of growers.
when you get some success, then try to add some organics if you want. i grow in WF's too and i love BioAg Cyto Plus in hydro. it's a kelp/humic powder. it mixes up into dark water but it's not thick like most organic stuff.

Which part? The piping? I got the wrong bulkheads for mine but I am using the same pipes and working on installing a res tomorrow with a 250gph pump. I am working with 4gallons total and next grow it would be 6.
9 of those in a 2mx2m tent is perfect

When I first decided to link my Dwc pots I thought about wider tubing but decided getting 90oz from 9 plants using 4 600w hps was the best I was getting , I use a small pond water pump for recirculation and it works awesome for me

You soon won’t be able to lift the lid and the plant once there should lots of roots, I had a small water pump I put in a mesh bag and put in the res. Turn it on and it sucks all the water out, use a hose. Then mix up the proper nutes in an equivalent size totes. Switch the pump into that one and pump the water in.
