Need advice on the setup

Is no one going to adress trying SOG with all seeds?

This is gonna end in a nightmare if you try sog in a table like that from seeds.

you should be looking at using clones if you want to fill a table similar to that which you’ve pictured.

or you’ll just run into over crowding issues.

I’m sure @Thundercat will most likely pick up on that one though.

Well the mother plant is not really a choice atm. I get what you mean that they will probably all be diferent size, but wouldnt switching them around and grouping them in 4's by size than adjusting the lights would kind of making situation better? I think it would, but I have no experience. Would the bigger plants completely try to take over the canopy, some bending, tying and clipping hopefully should do it, ideally would be all clones and same size I imagine, but thats just not possible atm. Im sure with experience I'll figure something out, but any tips is really apreciated, maybe start training at start of growth, its 16 pots in a 120x120, the table is 100x100, so I think they got some space, its not a SOG where theres twice as much plants. I would prefer to do 8-9 week from start to finish heavy yielder, but if its a 9-11 week than I wouldnt mind for a heavier increase. Would love to hear from the pros and what they would do with such 16 pot setup.

Peace

If you grow a single seed doing 12/12 from seed which mitigates the veg time to certain extent you’d still end up with 1.5ft tall plants that are approx 1-1.5ft in diameter each.

you’d need to heavily prune any side branching etc along the way.

Not saying It can’t be done, but it will take a lot of training.

With over crowding comes another concern and that’s MICROCLIMATES.

search and read about microclimates between leaf surfaces and see what I’m talking about.

there are ways to counter act microclimates through air movement etc.
I think I am always overcrowding my grow room. I have a big exhaust and inline fan, I also have 2 fans inside the tent. Is there any other method you would recommend to counter mircoclimates ?
Does this look overcrowded ?

Doesn’t look and tbh.
As long as you have good circulation and air movement you’re fine.

I like to make my plants dance in the wind from the oscillating fans.

From what I understand a single plant would spread out if it felt it has bunch of space, but if theyr more cramped up they tent to not go so wide, but I get what you mean, I would train them anyway to make most leaves getting light and prune what is not worth growing, Id be focusing on the main cola. Would the "critical mass" strain go so far in diameter as well? I believe some strains veg more vertical than horizontal. Interesting thing those plants, I love them, dont mind sitting there and playing with them to make sure they are well and happy :D

Thanks, I will be looking in that for sure.
I was thinking something that can have a nice variety of speeds to make sure I get that good balance between temps, humidity ohh and if it was rotating that would be great! Theres a big choice I'm sure I'll find what I need.
Tbh I'm not all that worried of giving it the right climate, more worried about getting the nutes wrong :)
Still I'll look into "microclimates" as to better understand the plant.

Especially if one of the beans ends up being a male.

If that was mine it would be getting at least another week.

I like my calyx’s to start looking golden before I chop.
Thanks I have been wondering about this. I also thought of one week but I have notices that they are losing stickiness, not a lot but a week ago I could barely touch a sugar leave without my fingers getting really sticky. I don't know what is the cause of that but I have seen int happen in my last 2 harvests with the same clone. Any ideas ?

I think I will start the 72 hour darkness before chop today. They look ready to me what do you guys think ?
It does absolutely nothing, and you risk mold/bud rot developing due to the high humidity and not enough heat to evaporate some of the moisture

Ok I also believe this to be highly possible. There is supposedly a scientific article from Holland they says it does increase thc in some strains. I wanted to try it this time because I don't want to flower them anymore(losing stickiness) and a portable ac I will use to dry them gets here in wensday. I also think the calyxes can swell more and become more amber but I really don't know the cause of the stickiness loss.

THC degrades under lights. But it’s in a constant flux of being damaged and repaired/regrown etc.

I have to disagree. After they break ground they stall for about a week while they develop a strong root structure. After that, new fans will start developing. That's around the time I consider "week 1"
So for the first week is an idea to use some rooting stimulant?
The fan leaves is an indication of good enough root system to start the nute feeds?
