Ride my moto into the bush on the side of road on the way to work. And water them . best places to grow are on bends with no area to park on side of road. People just drive past 100 kms and hour and don't see them.

Im doing some reading on leds at the moment. Ive always been more of a hps guy but i am also open and respect leds can crush it to. Got some questions. Has anyone here made the switch from hps to led? More specifically at se 600w hps to something like a hlg550/600? Finding i want better coverage over the 1.2m2 my 600s are currently covering but lacking on the edges will a hlg550/600 achieve that? I been reading up on it but i find that alot of the led guys first thing they say is "ive never run hps but..." just wanna know if anyone got first hand exp or if its all hype

Have a look at the Hellion Adjust a wing 1000W, can remote mount the ballast with these too.
Steer clear of the Gavita style for a tent.
What's the problem with Gavita style in a tent? I noticed that you said you've personally used them, but you're suggesting specifically to avoid them in a tent scenario? Why is that?

I've also noticed that it's a veritable minefield of choices out there, too! Dirt-cheap stuff that I wouldn't touch with a barge-pole (you get what you pay for in my books) & some REALLY exy stuff with the same spec's.

I'm on a bit of a tight budget atm & this purchase is really intended for winter-only use, so I'm loathe to drop a shitload of $'s on a lighting rig that's not going to get a lot of use.

I'm in a bit of a quandary right now!!!
