You must be a hydro grower. I just put mine in the dirt. No fingering of the germed seeds here

My soils are:
Promix mycroactive(pink bag)85L
added mycorrhizae 10 Tbps then water in(important)
Gia Green Dry Amendments 4-4-4 1-Cup
Non-scented Epsom Salts 1-Cup
1 Bag of perlite (cheap miracle gro stuff) 9L

I water with 6.5 pH Declornated
That's it. works great for ME but it might not work for you.

I soak mine in warm RO water until ycrack. Usually less than 24 hours.

I then put them in 32oz Deli containers of Promix BX. I spray both sides of some Saran wrap strips, and cover the containers with it, and a 1000w Hortilux HPS above all of it at 24 inches. Or a Gavita 1700e LED... Keep temps 78f-82f, and a slight breeze. They usually come up in 36 -50 hours. As they come up, I take off the Saran Wrap.

I do an overnite soak. Then into peat pods with a dome, on a windowsill..
Similar results depending on age of seeds

If you want to throw some electricity at your germinating seeds, consider getting a heating mat. The warmth matters more to a cannabis seed than the light.

Hi,

I'm germinating my seeds in rockwool and getting mixed information on whether to turn on the light during germination.
Looking for a definitive answer here!

Thanks
Q
personally I have the light on as soon as I put the seed in rapid rooters. It’s not needed but I like it so as soon as they peak they’re heads out they get that light.

I soak Rockwall cube in Rhizotonic & mycorrhizae water PH'd to 6 (im in DWC) for 24 hours, chuck seed in cube, cover hole with a corner of cube, place in tupaware box, wrap a towel around tupaware box so completely dark, place on Router for heat, within 48hrs heads are normally above ground, never had a seed not pop yet touch wood!

I soak for a day and drop them in trays on a heating mat near my mothers. Some light from the mothers hit them.
Once they start popping the shell I put the trays on top of the cloner or between vegging plants under HO T5s either way.
Hey man, I have some questions as I'm germinating mine and need some help.
What T5 wattage do you use? Is it only 1 or do you use several?
What is the light cycle you use once the leaves are out and for how long do you leave them under T5 before moving to a stronger light?

I am growing 1 master kush femenized and the idea is to move them to a DWC set up

I use a 4 bulb 2ft t8 for my cloner now. I had a 2ft 4 bulb t5 in the cloner/seedling tent but it was a bit too much. A 2 bulb T5 at about 1 foot would probably be a good choice for seedlings.
In the 5x5 veg tent I use 2x 4ft 8 bulb T5s at about a foot away from the plants, they stay under those until flower.
I give mine 24/7 5000k light from the first time i see theyve poked above ground until they get put into the flower tent.

I have a 2x2x5.3ft grow room. What do you recommend as a setup? 2 bulb T5? What about wattage?

The wattage is what it is. If youre buying real T5HO bulbs they are all the same wattage just depends on size, you dont have options other than Kelvin rating of the bulbs.

I have one of these and was pretty impressed with it. Start it at 2ft and lower it to like 6" once they have a few sets of leaves and can handle it. Should veg a 2x2 pretty well if youre wanting to use florescent lights.

Thanks man !!
I'll look around for some options today or buy one online.
My problem is that my tent is smaller than yours (2x2ft) and there is place for 1 plant only.
A 2ft light setup might not fit in my tent unless I place it diagonally. I can forsee space for 2 bulbs only. Do you think 2 light bulbs can produce 5000K for my little one?
