Is it just me or are THC levels going DOWN?!

I just don’t like too many weeds of today.. I can deal with a good cookie strain... even though I can grow some beautiful flowers.. I’m yet to up my weed growing game..

It can’t be THC%,my favorite of all times is ACAPULCO GOLD!! I will stop growing if I could just find the weed that makes me feel good..

I may just stop smoking.. this weed is about worst as cigarettes.. becoming useless..
Now it’s terps.. all these chocolates and berry and grape sprites....

I’d stop growing if I can just BUY FRIM THE RIGHT PERSON..

I’m not happy at all from what I’ve spent.. and I don’t give a flying fuck how long I let the tree go..

I would only believe such results if I myself paid to have the product tested by a different company and it confirmed those results.

They just aren't realistic. If any other terpenes are present then we are looking at nearly 50% of the flower weight (dry) is oil.

I've been buying some of the shit on the rec market for the last 8 months or so while my basement is being remodeled....can't grow at the moment....Anyway, I've always gone for the top shelf strains and recommended strains...most of them had been rated at extremely high THC levels -usually above 25%....sometimes even 33%!!! WHAAAAT?

Lately, though, I've noticed the same strains that were previously rated with very high THC levels, last year, are now reappearing with numbers like 12%, 15%, 19%....occasionally a strain in the 20% range. How is that possible throughout the entire market? Every brand is turning out lower numbers now.

Have the testing methods changed? Can we believe what the market is telling us? It seems that, when high THC level strains were what people wanted to see, all of a sudden, strains started showing up with ridiculously high (and often award-winning) levels....hmmmmm....Then, when talk switched away from THC levels, the thing became terpenes. So now, terpene levels are the new number. Are they real? Why would the THC levels have to drop for the terpene levels to rise? Is it just all more bullshit to sift through so that the bud tenders have something new to talk about? ;)
It's well known that it's all bullshit coz its corrupt. Testers take bribes.

The highest legit test I have seen from my own experience was GG4 at 31%.

It was actually 30.8something THCA but yeah add in the CBD and THC it was a cunt hair over 31
I actually enjoy smoking a whole joint with someone. 30% seems like concentrate type material.
Even 14% puts me in a good place.

It's not just the THC, think about it. You smoke two different strains that are say 18% THC. But they have different effect. The whole terpene profile actually plays a big part.

Back when I was doing solvent extracts (BHO/PHO) I winterized one batch of particularly terpy strain that had the head band effect. When you get the cake from winterization (the stuff you pulled off, fats, waxes, lipids and other terpenes) I tried dabbing some of that and was hit with and intense feeling of that forehead buzz... the winterized product however high it got me never offered up that part of the buzz anymore. Thus the reason full spectrum extracts preserve the buzz of the flower better than isolates.

Full spectrum like hash, or bho, shatter or whatever else people are doing these days?
