hey yes i understand that doing it all organic like that is the easy route and the best route for a beginner like myself. but i believe i have done enough research to get me by in a coco/perlite mix and when to feed and what to feed at what time and what basic deficiencys to look for.i i have heard soo much that coco produces better quality overall and better yields i know i shouldn't expected anything to crazy for my first try but iam kinda down to make the effort and learn how to grow with coco after after everything i have heard about it and how it can be a stepping stone to hydroponics also i think im about ready and know what i need to peruse.
what is dwc if you dont mind me asking ?
Whoever told you coco gives better quality results must be the same person who told you it was easier! They aren't by any chance a coco coir salesperson are they?

I'm all seriousness, hydro setups, including coco, tend to grow bigger plants faster, but organic soil grows give the best quality imo. And really, if you get dialed in, you can grow killer buds in any setup.

In any hydro system a PPM/EC meter and pH meter are definitely recommended, and preferably decent ones. That's part of why a lot of people start in soil, less initial investment if you don't have to buy as many fancy meters.

Go to Growweedeasy.com. Read any and all articles that contain the words "new", "newbie", " noob", "beginner", "1st time" and than come back here and ask what you might still be unsure about. 90% of RIU, Icmag, Grasscity is all garbage and i didn't even nail all the fluff sites out there. These sites are all about bragging and not teaching. GWE is a teaching site.

Don't give up. You can grow weed in dirt. All the extras are to make it better. Pop some seeds and enjoy it, don't let it stress you. My last year outdoor went to shit cuz of bugs end of season, learn and grow. Some of my best bud so far was my first grow- tinkering with things takes time. Get a bag of good soil and some basic nutes and see how she does and go fr there.

You’re over thinking it. Grab a bag of soil and throw your seeds in and water. At some point u just have to take the plunge.

im looking into fox farms(ocean forest) but i dont quite understand how to feed after about 4 5 weeks i see budzbuddha said just add soil to the top of the pot but if i have a already full pot then im screwed ? i will look up one shot tho thanks
That will do the trick, FFOF is loaded with nutrients. You obviously have to leave some room for it. I've tried that, but the problem I ran into was that they never stretched so I couldn't add any more soil :o all my Mephisto runs stayed small. I have 2 going right now actually.

hey man yes i think the seed company i need to look into a little more im thinking with going with Mephisto now ive seen there genetics and quality,I was going to go fast buds but haven't seen alot of ther work anywhere.seen alot of people use Mephisto and the plants looked good i know i cant go from that butt....... is there not much difference between them and is it just preference if so ill stick with fastbuds as cheaper hehehe
