24 inches recommendedLooks good from my house. How high is your light?
Vegas-NJ bagseed Sunrise, I haven’t been growing in anything besides fabrics but I like it, if it doesn’t have holes at the bottom when you buy them you have to stab the crap out of the bottom of it with some scissors for drainage but they’re awesome bags. IMOLooking good How is that cloth pot to work with , may order some? What stain or is it kinda a surprise like mine ?
I also grow in fabric bags but didn't punch drainage holes at the bottom. I dont think you have to because the fabric allows water to drain straight through itVegas-NJ bagseed Sunrise, I haven’t been growing in anything besides fabrics but I like it, if it doesn’t have holes at the bottom when you buy them you have to stab the crap out of the bottom of it with some scissors for drainage but they’re awesome bags. very rough and it taught me a lot of what to do’s on this oneI’ve read they let the roots get more oxygen, But you have to water more frequently. That’s a good tip about the holes I’ll keep that in mind . I just got ( bag seed ) I have a bunch , I’m very curious to see how yours turns out . You said this is the second how was the first ?
I did it because I wasn’t getting the drainage I wanted I might also add hydroton expanded clay pebbles on the bottom of my fabrics for even more drainage for my next grow. Probably going to change my perlite amount and add vermiculite as well.I also grow in fabric bags but didn't punch drainage holes at the bottom. how were you able to judge the drainage? They just weren't drying out fast enough?I did it because I wasn’t getting the drainage I wanted I might also add hydroton expanded clay pebbles on the bottom of my fabrics for even more drainage for my next grow. It was coming out the sides more the bottom and I wanted it coming out the bottom too so after watering the soil moist I wanted the excess to just flow through. To avoid over/under watering I guess would be the goalhow were you able to judge the drainage? They just weren't drying out fast enough?
You just have to water slowly with cloth pots.It was coming out the sides more the bottom and I wanted it coming out the bottom too so after watering the soil moist I wanted the excess to just flow through. To avoid

The idea is really to air prune the roots which happens when the root tip pokes through the fabric and the tip air dries causing it to send out another root, it stops root circling and allows a bigger root mass in the same size pot without having to be up potting several times.I’ve read they let the roots get more oxygen, But you have to water more frequently. I use a water bottle with a hole in the cap to water I’ll poke some more holes and slow it down a bit.You just have to water slowly with cloth pots.
