Identify this leaf problem

Hi Everyone,

I've had this problem for nearly 2 months now. Growing indoors (you can see below). Haven't been feeding too much and have laid off significantly.
Plant is now flowering, week 8, but the last 2 months or so the leaves are completed messed up.
I have bought several supplements for this fix from threads on the internet including phosphorous and calcium/magnesium - but the problem is still there.

There is no smell on my flowers unfortunately. Plant is still alive but I don't think it is healthy.

I think the soil might have too many nutrients in and I don't know how/what it means to "flush" it

Would love advice,

Ph a shit loadnof water and put the plant in the bath and poor your shitnloads of PhD water through the soil.... that's a flush

Thanks. But you didn't really provide an answer as to the problem causing all of this lol... Any idea? Thanks again :)

I have flushed my plants before by pouring three times the amount of ph’d water per gallon of pot, for a five gallon pot I poured 15 gallons of water through it(it was an outdoor plant) My plant was NOT happy after all that water and it took forever to dry out.

If I was you I would water with properly PH’d water from now on and lay off the nutrients all together for now. I think your growing medium has enough nutrients in it so just plain PH’d water will be fine.

if it’s just one plant you can take it outside and flush the pot or bring it to the bathtub to flush it with PH’d water. My goal for flushing was to put enough water through until the water draining out clear. But my plant was not happy after all that water!

Your plant looks like it had a CalMag deficiency, that can happen because the PH is off in the soil. It can also happen from using reverse osmosis water to water.

Do you have a PH meter? The PH of the water going in should be 6.3-6.8 for a plant growing in soil.

Another very good thing to add to your final watering (after the flush) is mycorrhizae. If you don’t have that you can layer the top of the soil with a good soil that contains mycorrhizae


Unfortunately the leaves that are damaged will not repair. Any new growth should be coming out nice after you get the soil to the proper ph.

But, you can still get a harvest out of the plant it has time to grow more. :):weed::peace:

Is it really soil you're growing in, or is it a peat-based product? Medium type matters a lot when it comes to proper pH.

Also, is that the pH of your water after you've added in your nutrients? Your pH needs to be checked on the water after nutes are mixed into it. When feeding just plain water, it needs to be at the proper pH as well.

Thanks so much buddy! I just flushed the plant under the shower haha. The water here is 6.5PH according to my digital reader and so I just watched all the dirty thick nutrient water come out.

I am hoping that this fixes everything... I think I put way too much feed in.

Also I have CalMag - do you think I should now put some in?

Good Morning,
I would give with a light dose of Calmag and make sure the PH is correct before applying. I have found that helpful for new growth.

Any nutrients we add to the watering usually change the PH of the mix. I add the Calmag then check the PH and adjust back to 6.5. Sometimes the Calmag builds up in the soil and raises the PH, that’s why I do a light dose:weed::)

Definitely overfed, good job on the flush. You're in soil with LA water, you do not need to add Calmag at all, it will only cause issues for you.

What are you feeding? How much?

What is your light? Looks like a low powered blurple
