first autoflower grow any tips/ feeding guides. guidance

hello i want to start my first little grow for well love of it been watching videos now for a long time and picked up alot of good information but thers alot of contradicting info out ther also on autoflowers and now im kinda looking for guidance of 1 good source and 1 only. to get me started i have a idea of what i would like to do and what i need to do it. iam just looking for genral tips for a noob grower like myself any kind of help would be much appreciated i mean any help thanks for reading and happy late 420 <3

Autoflower tips:

Make sure you choose a decent strain from a respected Auto breeder...Mephisto, Dinafem, Fastbuds...(there are a number of them)

- 20 hr light start to finish..including flowering
- Plant seed in pot you intend to finish it in to avoid stunting.

Otherwise Autos are similar to photos..Plant will show you if it is nutrient deficient.

-pH your water/nutes to 6.5'in soil

This is what I wish I would have known starting up. You're going to get a lot of great information from multiple sources that is going to be contradictory to each other. When you ask questions or search for information make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Really focus on information based on your specifics. Things like the medium you are growing in, nutrients, auto/photo period, ect. If your watching a youtuber growing in soil, and you're doing a coco grow or something different, there wont be much information you can really take away from it. Hope that helps.

hey man yes i think the seed company i need to look into a little more im thinking with going with Mephisto now ive seen there genetics and quality,I was going to go fast buds but haven't seen alot of ther work anywhere.seen alot of people use Mephisto and the plants looked good i know i cant go from that butt....... is there not much difference between them and is it just preference if so ill stick with fastbuds as cheaper hehehe

i want to do orange sherbert auto from fast buds and gelato auto from fastbuds.was debating weather to do a more classic strain i.e pineapple express/ northern lights. but a big reason i want to to all this is to try the new stuff around ya knoww.let me know how ya feel about them choices man and if ther ok for a start.

Fastbuds has a good reputation. You should be ok there... You growing in soil or coco? Organic or synthetic?

Ive run both Fastbuds and Mephisto..Both have good gear...

As for the hard water..If you're only running a few plants I would buy a Brita water filter from the store or some Reverse osmosis water or spring water (filter yourself cheaper)...Unless, you want to spend the money on a water
analysis...
Otherwise, it'll be a bit of a crap-shoot..

Remember to ph your water as it will influence uptake of various nutrients.

i would like to grow in coco 70% coco 30% perlite thers a company called ecolite heard good things about ther product and there up and comin.but if you have better suggestion please feel free

i have heard that my water around where i live is perfect concentrate for magnisum and calcium and i shouldnt need anything just ph my water and keep within the guidelines ive seen few people say if you live in a area with hard / very hard water its perfect for the plants,im only thinking of doing 3 plants maximum.if i got a brita water filter wouldn't it just mean that im filtering the calcium and magnusium away that i need for plant then means that i need to buy cal mag ?

Well ..trial and error then...

Some strains have slightly different requirements..
Grow the plants and feed them as as they start to show signs of nute deficiencies..

Personally..I'm of the view all new growers should start with soil (just my opinion)...work on your growing skills and responding to the needs of the plant first...soil has the basic nutes to get you through till flowering...

Those who decide to jump right to coco as new growers increase the learning curve right out of the chute as they have to learn fertilizers too...

Lots of moving parts...hence Ive seen a lot of frustrated growers when it comes time to diagnosing problems..

Coco requires a different pH too..

aww its soo tough man people have told me coco and perlite mix is much more forgiving if you go wrong with nuits as water goes through it faster compared to soil. and the most common mistake for new growers is over watering/over feeding.i was going to go coco and perlite mix and flush the mix day before use using correct ph water to make sure the mix is flushed all the existing things that dont want to be in there. then during seedling 1st week only feed correct ph water and bio bizz root juice then in the 2nd to 3rd week move her onto grow.then ect from there. but iam ver sceptical weather to go soil noww eeekk just heard alot of good stuff about coco and perlite mix.

Growing is a learning experience, not to mention, suppose to be fun...
Go with your gut and have some fun..everyone can give you their 2-cents on this board, but it comes down to what you're comfortable with..

For newbies using soil..if you're concerned..get a probe moisture meter..$10 no brainer.
