Maybe I'm just lucky. The light was delivered and I tried it the next day. After it failed within an hour, I contacted the seller and explained the problem. I was messaging the seller through Alibaba and they were very responsive. Honestly A+ on service so far (knock on wood). Apparently they have an agent in the US that I will be shipping to.

I paid via PayPal so I believe the purchase should be protected through them if the seller refused to help, but I hope I don't have to use that.

Definitely not using it. I'm sending everything back and they're sending an entire unit. Guess we'll see what happens.
That's very very honorable that they will just accept the entire order back and send a replacement because honestly, that's what you deserve. Who knows what damage those board's received with the driver throwing the much output at em'.

Yea I've honestly surprised at the level of service so far, as it doesn't seem to be standard based on what you guys are saying. And yea, once I saw that 500+ watts I got really nervous for the boards and shut everything down.

Who's paying for the return postage, btw?!
They said they would send me a label, so they are.

Well, if what he said is true and there really is a vendor in the US, they should let him use their account for shipping, but more than likely, won't.
Yea I'm not sure why they have an agent in the US. The package I received was shipped from China, and I assume the replacement will be as well.

I'd assume because meanwell will only take returns for fixing through warranty from the seller I.e. kingbrite and to save their cost of their customer shipping to China for them, they have someone who is in the states. Makes sense to me

It'll be a shared distribution set up.

They all do it and its because THEY save, not customer.

All of the Chinese LED companies have a central distribution which I understand, is shared with other 'brand names'.

My post may have been worded a bit strangely, but that's what I was implying.
