Right... 1st grow and I got these 3 bushy girls getting close to the chop :bigjoint: :

im growing in my basement and will have to dry in the same grow tent due to that oh so tempting aroma (can’t believe the missus let me anyway:hump:)temps will be about 24-26 thru day and 19-22 thru night. Humidity seems to vary between 60-70%. Not sure how removing lights will impact?

bearing in mind those readings... would anyone have useful advice for the harvest?

Will the readings be acceptable?
Should I chop them down fully and hang?
Or cut in to branches with fan leaves removed?
Would dry or wet trim be best for me?
Do I turn lights of for period of time b4 chop?
I’m assuming I leave full set up running except the light?

thanks in advance for any help...

They look pretty good, awesome first grow. I trim dry but others will tell you to wet trim so just flip a coin and look at my sig lol. I dry at 55% humidity and no fan, just natural circulation through open doors. If you can't get your humidity below 60% you will have to use some light fan. If high humidity is really going to be a problem then I just might wet trim so disregard my 2nd sentence lol. Every situation is different and you kinda have to feel it out. People always tell my my weed is so much tastier than everybody elses. I have killed enough flavor in my years by jarring too early. People around here still screw up a good grow with impatient drying.

Lately I tell people to leave a couple buds on the night stand for a few weeks and compare it to your jarred weed. It always surprises me.

Thanks... in pleased with how it’s come on. Should save me a bucket load of £‘s over the next few months! And I’ve got the itch now.. can’t wait for the next grow to start! Gutted I’ve gotta use the tent to dry! Got my next 4 seeds ready.. nervous about germination as these were grown from clones!

I’ll keep fans going then, to help air circulation. I think I’ll have to leave cabon filter on for the smell too. I’ve read 14 days dry then jar... does that sounds about right?

how do you feel about the 48hr lights out before chop theory?

If your humidity is on the higher side then I would cut the branches down to help speed up the drying process. My current harvest took about 10 days to be ready to jar, hung by the full branch, at an average temp of 68°F @ 55% RH. If you are closer to 60% RH then you might be better off cutting the branches down or drying the buds individually on racks.

Thanks pal, yeah think I may chop down branch by branch, remove fan leaves and hang? I have a heater down there running 24/7... would turning heat up drop the the humidity?
