Help cloning from a clone

I bought some clones.. well I didnt realize they where hydro and put them in soil they arent making it.. I'm worried if I dont take clones from them now I'll be out.
So how can I take cuttings from the plant that's almost dead...
I know to prune and trim. But will they ever survive that..

Looks over watered. Also how the clones are made doesn’t affect what medium they end up in. Aero cloner, rockwool, cup of water can all go in soil, coco, hydro doesn’t matter.
Fix the problem that’s causing them to die and they should bounce back.

So I havent watered in a day or two...
They are getting worse... my nieghbor took on the worse one and he said it's been dead for a few days from shock. I've been trouble shooting these for so long it's so stressing. I'm used to growing from seed in cali not clone on Hawaii. I made some small mistakes along the way I transplanted and put them in the shade right after... i didnt realize how picky they are and I fucked up clearly so yeah maybe getting clones from them would be safer..

Your not being mean at all no worried I wanna learn. So this was some organic compost stuff that we use for our veggie garden but over the years of using this in the garden I'm starting to hate it.. it's like hard on top and soft under kinda odd.. think I'm gonna buy a few bags of fox farm... heres the bb I have from seed so far... I need to find more seeds before mid may.. eh

fox farm is fine but just make sure u remember the soil likes to come acidic I would add something to balance it out before I use it. somethings I would add Gypsum, lime, and some vermiculite would be what I would try to find a mix with then do some top dresses when the plant eats up the soil.
