One light at 400 is PLENTY they arent even out of the dirt yet are they? Ideally you would run a 600w MH bulb right now. Running a 1000w bulb at 400 will likely reduce its life expectancy.

The only one that actually had some purple to it is called "smoothie" by fast buds. It is a good strain, it is only about 5% purple. I have never had a dark purple strain that had any sort of potency. Those pics were all taken under my 10K finisher bulb which puts off a lot of blue/purple. From my "research" the best strain fast buds has is gelato. Second best is smoothie.

I don't think there's a significant difference between our plants, most of the growers on this forum tend to push the branches apart.
I left mine growing naturally, the last two to three weeks are the hardest wait IMHO.

I wish I could use your lights, I suspect they'll give fatter nugs, I'm stuck with LEDs cos it's too damn hot where I live.

I suspect you'll have space problems, plenty of space with no plants, but those plants will quickly fill the room.
I've got one Red Diesel photo which took over my grow room and needed it's own space and light.
It now covers an area 3ft 6inch x 3ft 6inch and only just started flower.

He is growing autoflowers, they typically dont get very big. I fit 11 in my 5x5 tent last run and i could have packed a couple more in....

As otehrs have said, Thats a lotta light for starting them...More than double what you need at this point. Like one 600 watt would be plenty. or a few LED's....

Ya, 2000 watts for seedlings is way overkill.

It sounds like you know your shit. I've never tried to dim any HID. But this is really good to know.

I found this little tidbit about it that makes a lot of sense. They say throw a 400 or 600 watt bulb in and just adjust the wattage appropriately. Sounds reasonable to me.

I've currently 1 Amnesia auto, 1 White Widow auto, and 2 orange punch photo in my tent ......... 1 too many, and some of the leaves have PM.
Gotta say, I didn't anticipate the mould.

Dude, I'm in the tropics in Asia, temp is 36c every afternoon, humidity rarely gets much below 40% and it's the start of monsoon so the only way is up.

Most purple strains tend to yield shit too.

I had a GDP cut that I got from a dispo 5 or 6 years ago. It made dense nugs, dark purple, medium frosty BUT mid flower she started packing on the bananas, more than I have ever seen on a plant. Every square inch of bud had 3 - 5 bananas.
