In my limited experience I usually see balls or pistols at 2 weeks after 12/12. Kinda depends on how long you vegged too. Sometimes you see sex before flipping if you go long on veg.

Depending upon how much veg time you give them you can actually determine sex during veg.
But if you switch to 12/12 before full maturity is reached by the plant it can take 3-21 days depending upon plant maturity.

usually if you get alternating nodes on branches you’re not far away from maturity of the plant during veg phase. Usually this will result in the plant showing sex within the first week of 12/12.

if you didn’t have alternating Nodes it can take 7-21 days to show sex.

IME I’ve found males tend to show slower than females but that’s not set in stone.

It's a struggle. I got two bag seeds going as well, they are looking good so I am hoping I don't have to pull em. Day 5 of flowering for me, no signs of sex yet lol.

I seen a video on YouTube tho of a guy that had flowering like mine but all he had growing underneath was seed sacks and no bud . Do male plants do what my plant is doing or is this defo female ??

Another sign that a plant may be male in veg and before showing sex, is that in some strains, male plants tend to grow upwards a lot quicker than their female counterparts.

Like you said though, this isn't by any means a guaranteed thing either. Just a trait that I've noticed over the years.

My plant have definitely not shot up and stretched a lot . It's quite petite lol it's coming along nicely tho so hopefully it stays female aha 2020-04-26-22-32-47-260.jpg

I didn't mean that a plant that is growing taller more quickly is a male. It's just a trait I've noticed in some strains that may indicate. I do not use this as a method to determine. I use it as a possible sign. To determine sex for strains that don't show in veg, I just take a clone from each plant, root it, and force it into flower by going to 12/12 immediately. This tells me which donor plants are male or female.

Some of us have mixed experiences, my males 9/10 always show before females, id say 7/10 they are also more lanky/taller and hardy as fuck but due to genetic variation, we can only speculate until we actually see proof.

2 weeks from flip is an average of when you should see flowers, could be longer/shorter depending on maturity.

Yeah I get you . I seen it on some videos too . When mine was growing I could tell it was short and bushy ish . Then it's grown slowly upwards even since.so I sort of had faith it would be female . Like you say tho sometimes looks can be deceiving lol . I am trying my hardest to not let any light leaks in as I have the most basic of things lol . Scary shit once you find out it's female haha I think I'm more stressed then the plant could ever get. Also excited at the prospect of smoking my own plant in a couple of months lol
