OSHA on our ass for not having enough PPE.

It's as screwy as Trump deflecting all responsibility from himself and cutting WHO funding. The family business is a Nursing Home in Massachusetts where 50% of the deaths in this state are in long term term health care which the press and the powers that be like to focus on. 70, 80, 90 year olds with a couple of 100 plus residents thrown in. To date we have had one resident out of 100 test positive and the last two test on this patient have come back as negative.
Well kick me in the nuts but OSHA has sent us TWO letters saying we do not have enough N95 masks and insufficient PPE and we could be subject to fines. My wife is going to waste her time today answering the letters but I've encouraged her to keep it brief and just say well come on over and we wouldnt mind their help but either bring enough 95's for everyone but their not coming in without masks for everyone except tthemselves.if she doesn't want to be that long winded i suggested a hardy "GO FUCK YOURSELVES"
Are these people out of their minds or are they dwelling in the land of Trumunchkins.
This all stems from a nurse who we took off the schedule because she had taken a job at a nursing home with lots of positives and a few deaths and we can't have her anywhere near us. COPS, NATIONAL GUARD, OSHA, AND ANYONE ELSE IS NOT GETTING THRU THE DOOR WITHOUT A WARRANT. THEY WILL BE THE ONES WHO BRING THE DREADED POX INTO THE FACILITY.

I had to steal from the hospitals and labs for masks and purell..apparently my company thinks it's okay to carry live virus in my bag without protection.

our company is striking; they reduced my workload last week and termed me on Wednesday..they're now using misclassified EE's aka contractors who stole my job.

Go buy some PPE, cheapskate. I'll tell you what dog if you tell me where to source N95s I'd be very grateful. The staff is getting hazard pay and are very loyal to their residents so we're lucky as far as people bailing out goes but we could use a bit more help if your up to it. It takes a lot more balls to step up than just talk. How do I know you haven't signed up with your local food bank or meals on wheels or maybe even to do welfare checks? Your a cold man dog and i hope it's just your persona for the forum and not in reality. Maybe now that your hero has bailed on the WHO you might even get a bigger stimulus check. Keep your fingers crossed.
Schuylaar..good luck and watch yourself. The grunts keep working and the suits get to isolate. Hazard pay is a reasonable request but don't worry the country will be up and running in no time with the burden and risk being carried by the hourly Joe's.

I've been PMing with this person and I believe him to be a good man trying to do the right thing in difficult circumstances and bearing an awesome responsibility. He cares about those he serves. He's not a Trumper but a victim like everybody else, he is also making heroic efforts to save the lives of his charges. I've sent him some links for Chinese PPE, but that takes awhile to arrive.

China sent out an army of daigou to buy up all the masks in the world and send them back and hoard them. Then they nationalized 3M. Then Trump tried to get 3M to favor the US at the cost of the world and got told to fuck off. The US has to compete equally with the rest of the world to get masks and our national leadership isn't up to the diplomatic task. Taiwan has been donating millions of N95s to the United States and Europe.

You're going to have to look on the open market online and buy whatever you can find and make them last. Fashion brands are now making masks. The shortage of PPE is making it even more difficult to keep the apex of the curve below the baseline.

You don't just transport a biologically hazardous material without proper equipment, securement and documentation....no fucking way that's happening

I'm finding it hard to believe that you are in possession and transporting something like that

Do you have a HAZMAT endorsement, schuylaar? There is no way that Coronavirus doesn't fall under some kind of hazardous classification

Some random "courrier" is definitely not transporting around a highly infectious virus in a "bag"

Depending on the type of B95 mask you can put them through a hospital type sterilizer and be able to reuse them as long as they do not get damaged. I am guessing you may not have a sterilizer, If I were in your position I would pick up the biggest pressure cooker I could find and put a barrier between the boiling water and the masks to stop them from getting splashed but let the steam get through.

sure you can, just don't register with the DOT and consider your employees as independent contractors and that responsibility falls on their heads. lol.
next she'll be running black powder from CO up to WY

They don't know about those here with "Western Spirit" (the nice CO way of saying 'Trumper that refuses to follow rules')..be a dear and clue them in.
