I'm stuck at a Petro truck stop in Williamton, Illinois. It's 10:29 am here right now, I brought a loaded trailer to one our OTR drivers and am taking his empty. I have to sit here and wait for my dispatch to find me a back haul to Michigan, that might not happen until Monday sometime lol
I get paid by the hour and I'm getting double time pay to sit here today because it's a holiday so it isn't all that bad, just bored as hell already and I've only been here for an hour and a half.
Going to kick off the boots and take a nap in the bunk with my dog. If it's not raining when I get up, I'll take my dog for walk over to the Kankanee river that's about 3/4 - 1 mile away
My bunk complete with 3 comfy pillows
I have this book that I can read too, a customer at a book publishing place gave it to me earlier this year. I kinda just forgot about it and tossed it up in the cabinet of my truck

Well shit, it looks like I can't get over to the river, I'd have to walk across Interstate 55. Don't think I want to do that, plus there's fence I'd have to throw my dog over lol.
So went inside the truck stop and they sell beer, yee ha! There's a Charley's steak and cheese sub shop in the truck stop too, looks like that's what I'll have for supper tonight.
Check it out, I just bought this bad ass truck window squeegee for my truck, I will now have the cleanest windows on the road!
I guess I'm going to walk my dog around the truck parking lot for a little bit and then clean the inside of my truck to pass some time.
If I don't hear from my dispatch by 6-7pm, I'm going to buy a 22oz beer to sip on in the truck tonight lol, don't tell my boss though, have to keep it on the DL. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to have an open container on truck stop property too.

Oh man, kicking your heels with nothing to do at a truck stop in the middle of nowhere. Start doing some art on the pavement. Teach the dog some new tricks. Do some laundry even if everything is clean.

Ok so it's like 530pm here and trucks are coming in for the night, shit is getting ugly lol. It's busy as hell and guys are trying to back up into spaces and mofos are driving behind them while they're trying to back up, it's crazy, some real idiots out here. I'm glad I was here early and got an easy spot on the end of the aisle lol
Got my truck clean as hell smelling all good and lemony fresh inside, sprayed and wiped down everything with Clorox antibacterial all purpose cleaner, vacuumed and then Armor All everything. Cleaned the windows inside and out. A clean truck is a happy truck
Just got a Philly steak and cheese sub and seasoned fries from in the store, this sub is real good. Mushrooms, onions, green peppers and tomatoes no mayo
I try to give my dog a couple fries and this little shit is so spoiled she won't eat them unless I put ketchup on them
And I got beers to relax with in a little bit lol, I have them in the cooler right now chilling til about 7pm

I have been isolating for what seems like a month and a half now. Not crazy yet. But it will start to take a toll physically on people. Sitting around not moving. Excersize is so important but I’m so lazy. If not for my plants I would go crazy. I watch old VHS movies to pass the time. And cooking. Baking. And lots dope.
