Reasonable expectations?

New to the hydro game and been 20 years plus since my last grow. Using a 3x3 grow tent and just gonna do one plant to start with. It is supposed to be a heavy producer. What kind of yield can I expect? I am using an LED light. I know there can be a ton of variables in this also. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks

If you do well and have a good LED light (you get what you pay for) then a yield number would be "about a pound" ;)

~a# ,but what light did u get like renfro said you get what u pay for and If u don't wanna spend the money on leds I would do a 315 cmh in the area depends on what led u have if its a 1000 watt but only 150 who knows.

They list it as 600 watt, actually it' draws only 260 watts... Since you got it, it'll be a learning experience using it.. I used an Advanced led DS200, they were a seller here at one time, paid 500$ several years ago. 185 watt draw and got 6 ozs with it.. 24"x18" scrog screen https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-official-dwc-cooler-club-any-kind-of-cooler-res.366114/post-12496386
A 315 cmh would have been your best bet.. I got 1.15 gpw average yield 2 lights.. 1 light was 1.25 gpw.. 26oz tota for the 2 lights..
A 315 cmh should be your second grow light.. You get what you pay for when it comes to lights.. Yield will usually go up with experience..

Best way to control the heat? I can put a fan or two blowing in but that is a pretty small tent. Would it not get to hot?

throw a fan on it it doesn't get as hot as a hps or mh I like to run my room between 80f to mid 80s. I have many fans in my grow usually keeps everything pretty cool but during summer in my area it can get up to 90f or higher in my grow so I usually don't flower during summer I usually let them go veg out for a long ass time then when fall comes I throw them into my 100sqft flower room then run them in their. usually by then their beasts.

Will any grow fixture work for the cmh? This one is reasonable.

if you recommended it , you are 100% correct. it was designed for a 3x3. so good call!
that's about all I know about it its the perfect light for a 3x3. just im not well inversed into cmh I worked with hps for a while was pretty happy with it but the heat was my problem. I will always suggest the easiest first but now if someone wants to learn how to do diy fixtures im not teaching that imma just send them to the diy part lol. but learning how to do diy fixtures is a very nice skill to learn that's for sure. :peace: :weed: :peace:
