ryan's two plant QB grow (afghani and pineapple express)

Hey man I just spent a couple hours reading your progress on and off at work here. Appreciate the work you put into logging your progress and the difference in your results between the two grows is impressive and inspiring. Great work on the plants and the journal!

Thanks man I appreciate it. It just goes to show that with some hard work and effort it can be done.

Harvest tomorrow. Should I turn the lights out now and have a 24 hour darkness before harvest?

All chopped! It only took me 6 hours. I got a full rack and 6 one gallon freezer bags full of bottom nugs. I don’t feel like drying and trimming the lower nugs so they are being frozen for hash making. Over all I’d say 60% was put towards fresh frozen and the other 40% is hanging. If I decide to flip some of this harvest maybe I will regret turning so much into fresh frozen/hash. What do you think? Here are some photos!71FBC245-CAC2-4B43-8D8B-1BB70027A27F.jpeg9F05B668-4957-4D31-B613-CC3CC501EAC7.jpeg

I ordered a bubble machine and bags to make water hash with my fresh frozen. Just a week more left in the dry before I can move one of my massive veg plants into that room and flower. Maybe I’ll be productive and clean the grow tent and move the plants to dry somewhere so that I can move one of these veg plants to bloom. I couldn’t wait. I had to transfer one plant to the tent. Only concern is how hot will it get where my plants are drying. I’m going to have to move the drying plants but I only bought one tarp at walmart to put on the floor in case buds fall off the hangers. Anyway, like I was saying I had to transfer This plant into a 7 gallon pot and bend it under a scrog. The photos speak for themselves. 84C22DF2-68E2-4E72-91E4-E8757E71A59F.jpeg64D84B98-D443-4275-9829-F0CCFD827A2E.jpegF8652D0E-CE11-4681-9601-0F7AE4E60A21.jpeg50F8DEA0-DFE1-418E-9CF0-6AD1950278A6.jpeg

I didn’t weigh it but I think there’s probably 10 ounces there. I already used about 7 grams to make rosin. There is still a bunch of frozen material in the freezers too! And trim!
Also got a small pile of dry sift from my trimbin. I’m going to run the fresh frozen for bubble but I really want to get a freeze dryer first. I need to raise some money to buy one though :(
The next grow is already coming along. I turned up the light to about 80%. The less intense light for sure stopped the stretch like I had in the last grow.

Hard to believe she’s already been under 12/12 for almost a month! It seems like just last weekend I was chopping down my first crop. There is already some frost starting to form. 4F343E4A-49BB-44FF-B2DC-920351E45CF9.jpegAE63CE0D-C607-4F3B-A643-FB128BAFB1AD.jpeg

The grow is going great. This plant is looking frostier than both plants did last run this far along in flower. This is week 6 of 12/12.6960BB3F-9C60-4EFC-B2DE-91DDF344D050.jpeg

The grow is still going great this round. It’s in flush but I think I’m going to let the crescendo run about a week later than the last cycle.
I have a lot of things going on outside the grow tent too. I got a new dabpress rosin press and also I ordered a harvest right freeze dryer. Delivery date for the freeze dryer is still months out unfortunately. I’m aiming for an ounce of live rosin for funsies and I’m even trying to enter it into some competitions perhaps.
