Hi all, yet againore problems, everything was going well until I noticed thin spindly twisting new growth. There are 5 chessecake autos on day 29 in bio bizz light mix soil using bac nutes. Temps are a steady 24°c and rh is between 50/60 %. I use tap water with eco thrive neutralize and ph between 6.2 and 6.6.

It appears You have nutrient burn or wind burn discoloration on some lower leaves, have you topped it? It also appears you have a bunch of lower leaves bunched up blocking air from getting to your container. Also what temp are you watering those with it should always be lukewarm, and your water should not be hard if its tap water hopefully. Also what size are your containers, are they aerated all around with bottom drain holes, are they at least 15 inch deep, did you cause soil compaction when you added the soil are all huge factors in your grow but future problems in a plants life actually has little to do with ph, and nutes but rather more to do with soil compaction. This happens for a couple reasons. Btw i also grow with tap water and no ph adjusters and my water is documented at ph of 9. As for nutes, it is possible to overnute but again, its usually soil compaction that people dont consider as much. Only really experienced growers notice. When you initially lay out the soil, only very slightly press it down. Don't worry so much about air pockets but you can vibrate the soil once finished. Getting rid of the pockets is all about how well you water your medium. If you pound it too hard with water you will have soil compaction. Always lets there be a bit of water runoff every time you water. Very few people do this indoors and its as simple as elevating your pots in a bowl and sponging the excess. This is super important because it closely resembles nature as it allows all soil to be watered evenly, given you dont have a bunch of bottom leaves prohibiting you from reaching certain areas, avoid letting water hit the leaves as much as possible keep watering device low. Here are my 3 and I show normal yellowing of leaves bottom up first. I've been growing for a long time. This is my latest . They are king kongs indica dominant

Also if you like topping you may prefer some softer methods of training there are a few I've tried

HI thanks for the reply. Drainage seems to be OK. Watering every 3/4 days. None have been topped just lst. How do you loosen compacted soil? Is it a case of squeezing the pots a little to loosen it? I do have 2 small fans on them but aren't very powerful so I don't think wind burn is the issue. What would your next steps be?

Your fan should never be blowing downward on your plants, thats a huge nono. There are articles about this, it causes your plant to transpire too fast and will either kill them or make unhealthy. Keep fan blowing straight or slightly upwards at upper level of plant, keep it on low and minimum 2 feet away. You

The one that's doing the best is by the air intake fan

Ive used costant fans, and they make leaves less healthy than oscillating. Even if you think the wind is soft, it looks like a matter of how you are slightly directing it downwards.

I would want to know the pH of the medium.

What is the PPM of your feed? How much of what do you mix in your feed? Do you feed every watering?
Ive tried feeds, but after lots of comparisons I stand by miracle grow potting mix so long that theres very very little soil compaction, throughout the grow. I also usually add bone meal minimum 2 weeks into grow, sprinkle evenly, not too close to center stalk. Also helps less healthy looking plants come back, does not affect ph and helps veg too since it has nitro

ppm is 340 ec is 1.4 using 1.5ml of bac grow to 1litre of water and 0.2ml or root stimulant a when they was 21 days old

Sorry, i meant trimming, not lolipopping. Lollipoping is not necessary if you use side lights like me. My very bottom branches are up to 4 feet long, thick and up to 17 bud sites per branch
