I think you are right. The tent sounds like an easier way to avoid problems and maintain climate.

I would. And it'll need to be out-of the closet otherwise same issue. A bedroom usually will have a vent though with central air or at LEAST a window you can open.

Now thats the way to do it. If you can actually access your attic area, pulling an insulated 6" straight to a gable/vent enclosure is perfect.

Ya, I got lucky, because the closet I'm growing in has the attic access spot in it. So I didn't have to cut up my ceiling at all. Just ran the hose through the access board that seals it off.
