Autos really faster??

In soil at least I'm finding that to be true. I planted 2 Auto AKs, one in a 3 gal and one in a 5 gal, and the one in the 5 is significantly larger.

As for finishing time, like the others said, I think it's definitely strain dependent. My NL Auto from Seedsman claimed 65 days, but I'm on 75ish already. I'm new to autos so I'm not sure how much longer it will go. If it was a photo I'd say it had 2 months left!

The two AKs are on the right at about 30 days. The light grey bag is the 3 gallon. It doesn't look as drastic in the pic but in person it's really noticeable. This pic is from a about a week ago. When I get home tonight I'll take a close up of the NL that's fowering so you can see where she's at.

They look they are on steroids hitting the gym twice a day.

I grew autos last time and harvested at 12 weeks. They were great and I didnt have to worry about the dark cycle. I now have a photo at 8 weeks. Flipped the lights at 5 weeks. Its supposed to be a 45 day flower strain. Anyway doing simple math tells me that the photo will finish at least as soon as the auto. ???? Still like autos. Getting ready to put both autos and photos outside this summer. It will be interesting to harvest this photo and see if I get more weight and quality off it than the auto. The auto is better than I find in the dispensary. First pic is the super skunk auto near harvest. The second is Afghan kush photo at 8 weeks.

Mr smartpants. They said 10 on the auto. Went 12. Flipped photo after 5 weeks afghan kush early harvest says 40 days I believe. So correct me if I'm wrong as you like to do....40 days is 6 weeks so 5 veg + 6 flower plus an extra week is 12. Assuming that they dont flower longer.

I have never had a plant ready 40 days from the start of 12/12. You should assume much longer.

So for autos that are crap they need to be fully ripen at 12 weeks for you to do a harvest ,but hey you can do early harvest of your photo kush at 40 day of flower and that is totaly ok, coz althou its 8 weeek strain (8*7 = 56) you will cut it at 40 days?? ..

Lol grumpy pants, the strain is actually Afghan Kush Early Harvest. They do some strange breeding that I dont fully understand. They throw a F4 pheno in the mix making a early finishing photo.

Is this your first auto?

I’ve heard nothing but good things about their gelato. I’ve got 5x fastbuds GSC on the go at the moment and a 6th Auto - my next grow will be either their Gelato or their new Wedding Cheesecake strain, both of which claim super quick finishing times in around 9-10 weeks. I’m aiming for between 2 to 3 ounces dried per plant, off 6 plants meaning a total harvest of around 12-18 ounces.

The fastest photo I've ever had was 8 weeks from flip but you should never expect them to finish in the time the breeder advertises. That goes for autos too.

I grew PP plants maybe 3-4 times in the 5y I've been growing and they never started to flower under 10 days from flip..
Funny how nobody counts that, or like some of peeps in here they claim that thier flowering starts right away when they flip to flower..

I always count first day of flower when theres clusters of hairs, but I have had plants finish 8 weeks from flip

Your telling me brother! I planted a photo SOG in my other tent almost two months after and I'm starting to think they're gonna finish right on top of each other!

Here's the NL at 75 days from seed:


I have a second one going that's a really strange pheno. Huge fan leaves, no branching. Was going to let her go just out of curiosity but seeing how long this one is taking I'm tempted to pull her to make space for more Mephisto or Wicked Pissah gear. I don't wanna wait another 3 months for no yield. I could probably finish a 4AM from seed in that same timeframe.

Sometimes you just gotta pull em, I always try to find a new home for them come to think of it I don't think I've ever actually thrown away a mature plant. I just gave away 2 runts to my neighbor they were perfect for his closet.
