I'm using 1000w mh bulb set at 600w.
temps and humidity are under control. temps around 73-80 f during day and 63-67 during night.
humidity during day is 50-70 usually in the high 60s.
have a 4 inch fan pushing air through light for cooling. the fan is connected to a controller to regulate.
using home depot potting soil with no nutrients yet.

i am starting these plants now with the intention to bring them outdoors late may.

i started my cannabis seedlings in paper towel germination April 1 and transplanted them into solo cups 2-3 days ago.The plants were placed on the bottom of the tent until today as I've put the black table. i worried they were stretching now they are about 3 feet away from the light.i was wondering if i should get the lights closer now or when in the future and also when to turn up wattage of bulb. just wondering what you think of them.

also another question. what kind of equipment would i need to keep 30-35 plants indoors until late may like how large of a tent. i have a two 4x4 currently and have money to invest. also how much watts of hps light for each tent say they had 16 plants in each if it could fit. I'm sorry if my English is not that good it is not my first language.

I appreciate the help.

With a 1000W HPS that’s a pretty powerful light....

with regards to distances to the top of the plants with a light that strong - you ideally want them minimum 15inches away from the tops of the plants (38cm) but no higher than 30inches, (76cm). This will mean they won’t burn.

as for keeping that many plants for nearly 2 months of vegging, under a 1000W light, your tents will be very very full, and probably won’t be able to fit that many in. I’d think about either reducing your numbers OR just buy a few more grow tents. In a tent 4x4 you’ll be lucky to get 10 in. You’ll also need much bigger pots to accommodate 2 months of growth.

yes i plan on switching pots as needed , i could potentially put them outdoor mid may so like 1 month and a week of veg. how many lights do you think would be sufficient for plants at that age.

Make sure you harden those ladies off before putting them outside permanently. Even though you're mimicking the time of day the leaves will still need time to adjust to the power of direct sunlight.
With so many plants, bringing them in and out probably isnt an option so set up a greenhouse situation or dont give them full sun right away at minimum. Watch for puckering and burnt leaves.

if i can fit them in my tents i will be able to harden in the tents. do they currently look healthy they are now 30 inch between them and the light. its set to 600 w mh.

I use a screen material to keep partial sun for first week. Works pretty good, and no shuttling of plants. But that's me.
Good luck and may you have a great year.
