Thanks man! I was thinking the same thing, not too shabby for a first grow. Just gotta keep pushing em the next week or so here. I ended up ordering the herbs now dryer as well to make my dry process simpler. Only time will tell how it goes, but surely it’s better than anything I’ve been able to get around here.

Definitely keep me updated on the dryer if that works out maybe I’ll pick one up. Right now I’m doing the old school way hang the plant keep it at 50-60 rh give it 7-14 days jar and watch more humidity meters half my time is spent looking at those now lol. Good luck finishing out ur grow strong!

I tried wet trimming with my first run using the drier... I hope it's all good because wet trimming is way nicer than dry trimming!

I never really concidered the difference when i started growing. Got the hay smell before and hate it after all the hard work. Now i just clip all the main fans(some already removed early flower) and hang dry in dark room with stagnant but fresh air around 6-8 days and than clip whatever leaves on the bud i feel gotta go. I couldn't trim a whole plant or more at the same time. Both methids of wet/dry seem to have pros/cons just like bubble and dry ice hash, but a trimmer sounds like it would be killer.
 
I am planning to start my seeds on Wednesday or Thursday. I got my platform built to get my plants up off the cold floor. They fit perfectly inside my 2x4 tent and should allow plenty of warm air under the pots. IMG_20200405_163411.jpg

I got some seed starter mix, dr earth dry fertilizer, and worm castings all from home depot. I am going to see what kind of plant I can grow just using items from home depot. I am going to try growing at least 2 or 3 of my next indoor plants using these items. I would really like to find a good cheap soil or items to make my own soil from walmart or home depot so I don't have to drive and hour and a half to the closest hydro store to buy $25/ bag potting soil.

I used FFOF for 10 years until my local nursery sold. Can’t believe I paid $13 a bag. Now I get the same size bag for $3.95. Only difference is nutes have to be started a couple weeks earlier. Here is my new dirt. And when I switched dirt, I also switched nutes. I’m using the Fox Farm trio and have a pretty good feeding schedule worked out.

your grows look so good, between that and your seed making threads you are inspiring me big time to try to grow my autos not only better, but on a cheaper budget... or at least using supplies that I can more easily source within 5 minutes of home. If this grow goes as well as I am hoping, my next run is going to be a seed run! I was super excited to pull 4 surprise seeds out of the best plant on my last run. I can't wait to try making my own seeds intentionally.

I like the idea you've got going here. I avoid the big box stores for a variety of reasons from quality to socioeconomic, but I'm also fortunate to live in an area with access to several locally owned garden and farm stores. I know not everyone has that option and the forum could use some folks experimenting with more easily obtainable products.

I am, however, done with the local hydro store. My only two fungus gnat infestations have come from their store, their prices suck, and they are full of BS.

I'm going to try a mix of Coast of Maine Quoddy Blend Lobster Compost, coco coir and biochar in one of these next grows. It would cost me half as much as FFOF. Plus I'm trying to get away from peat products because they are so unsustainable

there was a good video on youtube comparing the sustainability of coco coir vs peat... it seems that in certain places of the world peat is not sustainable, however it is believed that in Canada which is the home of more fresh water lakes than the rest of the world combined, that peat may be sustainable... Not trying to start an argument.. this is just what i heard in the article. Anyhow, I do have a tractor supply and in a couple of months a rural king opening near me. There is also an Agway store which is a farm supply store. I could try those stores to see if they have anything cheap or interesting. I don't mind ordering some amendments like bio live, oyster shell, kelp meal, recharge whatever through amazon. but simple things like potting soil or the base for the potting soil would be awesome to be able to buy locally. I just had 60lbs of earthworm castings delivered to my house but it is a different brand than i found at home depot, so for this little experiment I decided to buy one small bag from home depot. seriously though, can you have too many worm castings? i kinda doubt it.

Well thanks for that. I’ve been making seeds for a long time and still get excited when I make that cross, pop that first seed, and see it break surface.

My suggestion when you make seeds. Mist one plant and dust that pollen on several plants to make multiple crosses. You will wish you did. :hump::hump::hump:

No doubt! If you come across that article again you should drop a link. I readily admit there are people out there studying this stuff that are way more knowledgeable than I. We have a ton of peat bogs near me but they are disappearing rapidly
 
Well my neighbor is being a dick right now so it looks like this indoor spring 2020 thread... For me anyway just turned into an outdoor summer 2020 grow thread. :wall:
 
I was planning on doing an outdoor summer grow anyway... But was also going to do indoor. This also changes everything about my grow. I can't wait... In another 6 months I should have my own indoor grow space.

So my outdoor strains this year are Humboldt Sour Diesel and Lemon Juice Express, along with Royal Queen Seeds and Seedsman Northern Lights. I thought it would be fun to see how the 2 Northern Lights did against each other. And I have not decided for sure what I'll be growing in other than it will be an organic soil.
