First time with autoflower plants

Finally obtained some seeds from the tooth fairy and they are autoflower. I have them at day 10 from seed right now. The 2 on the right are auto flower plants, and the 2 on the left are unknown non auto flower plants. (Freebie). How much can I get as far as yield from the auto flower? They are "speed bud auto " seeds. My light is a 1000 watt MH and I have a HPS bulb with a ballast that runs both through a switch. The grow is in a concrete garage and its spring here in the ozarks. Temps are perfect. I also want to know opinions on using the sun with the light to make up for the fact that missouri never sees 18 hours of light a day, even on our longest summer day. The last pic is of my new guardian who has moved in, I think I'll keep him handy. He already has managed to eat quite a few bugs and a brown recluse as well. I dont see a problem yet. Also I use fox farm ocean forest for this grow, and I have to say I am in love all around with this soil

Keeping my grow on this forum for others to learn... while I learn. My first grow was very potent, had people's jaws drop. Lots of kief for what it was. This is my plants on day 13, I have my inline fan on my light hood and my hood is cool to the touch. 65 -67 degrees Fahrenheit constantly monitored

Entering the 3rd week I thought to try out some low stress training on the autos, then I figured why shouldn't I LST all of them? These plants are the best I've grown yet, thanks to my inline cooling fan my 1000 watt light does not burn my plants being 18 inches away. Air temp is 62 in the room today, with some snow falling outside. Perfect time of year to get these going strong. I am excited about these auto flowers because they already stink. This picture is day 1 of week three. Stems are thickening and leaves are stretching. Every time I check on them they grow some more

I personally don’t think u need the sun and the light. If you have a place to put in the sun all day go for it. I think the 18 hours is because we are using supplemental lighting.

I experimented today with the sun. 65 degrees and slow wind. Bright sunshine all day. These babies grew every time I looked at them. This LST has made my 2.5 week old plant a bush already. The sun penetrates to the bottom branches way better. The light does just as good for the most part, and its stable. I'll mix it up and see how it goes. These are my 2 autos. Speed bud auto to be correct

Absolutely amazing soil, have done nothing but water twice in the 18 days it's been alive. The low strength training is working well for low shrubbery. Leaves tripled in size on the bottoms today. My plants are happy and reaching for the light currently. I am very pleased so far. I think the 2 autos are going to be producers

I'm going to leave the MH in for 15 extra days than most just to see node spacing difference possibilities. I have added nothing to this soil and I'm pretty impressed with what they have done in one month. Very thick healthy green plants being trained lightly. Showing as two female autos thankfully no issues there.

Keep it up man! I am rounding out my first grow ever, and first auto grow and they sure are fun (and fast) to grow!

Thanks man! I’m anxiously awaiting chop day (hopefully a couple weeks on some plants)

ultimately, I did autos the first time because I figured it would allow me to experience all stages of a plant in half the time. Obviously there’s differences between autos and photos, but there’s so many similarities that I figured why not go with a plant that would offer a quicker harvest??

Lumen burn came fast. One auto started becoming deficient from excessive light. They were shooting up, and I was not noticing. 2 inches too close and you can notice withing 8 hours. I had a lockout from the 1000 watt being 12 inches from the tops but honestly I caught it while assuming my pH was wrong. Raised light to 23 inches and happy again. I bought some orca mychorizza fungi and bacteria I'm going to use accordingly. Started two seeds from my first grow which is on my page if you want to check out the genetics of it (they are black triangle seeds). Honestly was some dark ass couch weed. Still haven't found one that was that sedative. You couldn't smack a gram out of a water pipe without laying yourself up, and I smoke 4 ounces a month. It wasn't until my state legalized that I wanted to learn this "sport" if you would.

Chugging along. All is well week 6 is almost over (from seed). Impressed with the light. It's 30 inches above them and I never knew that it could work so well being that high up. I can grow in a 6x6 square pretty efficiently. Added fox farm big bloom at 4 tbsp a gallon (pH is 6.4 ) added a splash of orca mychorrizae. The mychorrizae helped my seeds pop up super fast. I guess it works so why not start some live soil? They are about 19 inches tall

End of day 41 for autos and day 34 for photo periods. The photo periods have massive leaves, like I can palm a basketball and it is bigger than my hand. This is only a 2.5 gallon pot and I didn't plan on transplanting... somebody tell me if that's a good idea or not ? I wanna veg them until these autos are done but have no clue how well that's going to work, or if it will even benefit my yield vegging 2 months in a 2.5. Plants seem healthy as of now, one auto is budding significantly less because the lumen burn it got a while back I'm guessing. Surely it'll make a come back, it has plenty of other bud sites as well. LST helped.

One of my autos is finishing way faster than the other. I have one 25 inch tall auto and one 30 inch tall auto. Can't wait to flip my photoperiod plants in a few weeks to see how big of a yield they give. Honestly, these autos have only had big bloom and mycorrhizaeh orca liquid as well as the great white powder every other watering. I ordered grow big.... its very questionable though. Is it okay to use FF grow big on the next gorilla glue autos that I have seeds of? I plan on growing 5 GG autos very soon. I hear that it is not organic like big bloom and some people go as far as saying it causes health issues ( like smoking plants was healthy to begin with). Any input is appreciated

Popped in a new eye hortilux super hps because the Amazon bulb was throwing out 80,000 lumens at 1.5 months old. Very disappointing. So I'm sort of glad the bulb sucked, because I see now how great this bulb is. Been using it for 6 days now and the spacing on the nodes is noticeably shorter compared to the half of the branch that got the Amazon bulb. Get yourself an eye hortilux. (Plants are drooping because humidity is through the roof with all this rain lately, and sadly they really needed water today)
