If I plant on growing in 100% perlite wha size pot would I need for 10 week veg and 10 week flower? can I get away with 20 weeks of growth in a 2-3 gal pot Without yield loss or should I bump up pot size? I am done with coco tek nute Aline they turn rancid to fast and had bad luck switching to sesi coco line so far veg line works great and I can leave it out for days before it gets that pond smell even in direct light

Best nutrients for hydro, hands down IMO, General Hydroponics Flora 3 Part.

10 week veg and 10 week flower? Damn thats gonna be massive. I grow trees that veg close to that long, around 50 - 55 days and they end up huge, 3.5 - 4 pounders. I use 10 gallon pots with soiless mix and I could go to 20. I did it in 5 gallon pots before and when I switched I gained about 1.3 - 1.5 pounds per plant and I didn't have to water every 8 hours during peak.

yikes, over feeding. for sure. maybe nute lockout b/c of overfeeding? salt buildup in the coco?

Never went past 600ppm I think salt build up damaged her roots becuase I flushed her down to 50ppm runoff and in 2 days she was back to 4.2 ph runoff with 5.8 goi in

Renfo you are in hempy buckets right? I plan on doing a simple 4way lst and basic defoliation with 4 plants in a 4x4 tent any hints on how to boost my yield?

If you have a generous budget, there are lots of things you can do ... but first and foremost, get bigger buckets. At a minimum, you'll need 4 / 5 gallon buckets to grow large plants. If you want to devote your tent to a single monster specimen, a 7 to 10 gallon container or even larger would be appropriate ... but that's not what hempies are really designed for.
These are shots of granddaddy purple in 4 gallon hempies in a 5x5 tent under a Fluence Spydr 2i light and using Greenleaf nutrients Mega Flora, Sweet Candy, and Bud Explosion (with a little Epsom salts during early veg. Grow medium is Botanicare ReadyGro moisture over a 2" base of river rocks. Dry yield from 4 plants was 32 ounces. Veg was 8 weeks and flower 10 weeks. The grow was 4 plants but could have been 5 if I wasn't worried about humidity control once they went into flower.5x5shot.jpg

Budder, i used to use 5.8ph and my plants looked like that.. 5.8 is at the VERY bottom edge of magnesium uptake... i went upto 6.1-6.2 and my plants have never looked happier. just my 2 cents :)

P.S. although yours actually look like nute burn bad.. but at 600ppm i don't see how..

The strain is black widow from ilgm only know of one other person on this forum atm that has first hand experience with Ty is strain and he said it’s an extreamly light feeder and very picky as far as Ppms go

Did you train them or top them at all? Is 4 way lst worth it?
Not sure if that question id for me but I'll answer it 8)
This was my first GDP grow so I didn't top them. I did a little lst but mostly just let the go au natural and defoliated for better light and air penetration. Normally I'll top 2 or 3 times with photos ... just once with bigger autos.
Once I know a strain's growing tendencies I find it easier to plan training either with lst, scrog, or supercropping.
I keep the nutrient ph 5.9 - 6 and flush the buckets with plain 6.0 water when the waste gets to more than 6.3

Damn not bad and I’m ph feed at 5.3 and it rises to 6.5 in 2 days and I flush on the 3rd day and start over so far so good I hope my cat litter bucket is big enough for a full cycle I’m in 100% perlite

please explain: you are doing a hempy all perlite in a cat litter bucket. all of that is fine.

why are you feeding day 1 too low, day 2 too high adn then flush on day 3? i'm confused.

I've been running hempies for a few years now. I'll be glad to offer advice (no promises) but I need to know more about your setup. Home depot sells food grade white 5 gallon buckets. They're about $5 https://www.homedepot.com/p/Leaktite-5-gal-70mil-Food-Safe-Bucket-White-005GFSWH020/300197644. I suggest you get some for your next grow.
If you're using perlite, you probably have the super dusty small stuff. See if you can get some the big chunk type https://www.amazon.com/Fox-Farm-FX14044-4-Cubic-FoxFarm/dp/B003H7IY38 to use as a medium. You can probably find better pricing if you look.
For a 5 gallon bucket, drill your drain hole about 2 1/2" up from the bottom. I use 1/2 inch pvc to make small 90 degree drain pipe so I drain from the bottom rather than the new nutes coming in. PM me if you want specifics.
I have a 55 gallon drum I use to condition town water for a couple of days before I use it. In a separate container I usually mix up about 35 gallons of nutrients at a time. Just stir it up real well before you feed (electric drill with a plaster mixer). You'll need to do a little plumbing to work a system like this but it makes life a lot easier.
