I've run 6-2-6-2-6-2 before and it worked really well.Yes in my opinion its better but some will leave it on 24 hrs in veg but it is really strain dependent if it can take that much light. But some strains might have good results do some research on what you have and do a couple grows trying both ways and see what you prefer
I agree with the first two schedules but I've read that there are drawbacks to a 24/0 schedule. From what I understand the plants go through a process where they release fluids back down into the soil at night, and then draw a bunch back up at dawn, and depriving them of that can cause some issues. I would have to find that info to confirm what actual issues it can cause, though. There is no better or worse between 18/6, 20/4 or 24/0. It's grower's preference. There are benefits and drawbacks to all light cycles.
Well, I've been growing for seven years indoors now, and I've always run a 24/0 cycle in my clone and veg tents.I agree with the first two schedules but I've read that there are drawbacks to a 24/0 schedule. Interesting. Then maybe the issues I read about don’t affect the plants as much as they acted like they did.Well, I've been growing for seven years indoors now, and I've always run a 24/0 cycle in my clone and veg tents.
I pull 4-7oz per plant every five weeks in my perpetual continuously.
Nobody would be able to tell me 24/0 doesn't work Besides, it helps to keep the environment much more stable.
Another benefit for me using 24/0, is that the warmth from the 400W veg tent is piped into its neighbour flower tent, and helps keep the flower tent warm when its during lights-off (all of my fans, humidifiers etc are automatically controlled to make this happen, and my basement which I grow in is unheated/cooled, and remains at about 52F year-round).Interesting everyday we learn, I am going to keep them under 24 hour, they look so short and bushy, first time growing
Much of what you read about regarding cannabis is just stoner science. I ran a 24/0 veg room for years back in the day. I run 18/6 now in the tent because it works fine as well and I have some timers I paid good money for and I'll be damned if I'm just going to leave them in a box going to waste.Interesting. Then maybe the issues I read about don’t affect the plants as much as they acted like they did.
I didn't reach your level yetAnother benefit for me using 24/0, is that the warmth from the 400W veg tent is piped into its neighbour flower tent, and helps keep the flower tent warm when its during lights-off (all of my fans, humidifiers etc are automatically controlled to make this happen, and my basement which I grow in is unheated/cooled, and remains at about 52F year-round).
Hopefully soon HahaI didn't reach your level yet

Everyone starts at the beginning. Unfortunately though, some buy into ideas that are not logical whatsoever. Fads come and go, and with them, the people that promote them. There is by far more bad information about cannabis growing being handed out than there is good information.I didn't reach your level yet
Totally agree, it's about the experience and what you and others been though all the best buddyEveryone starts at the beginning. Citings and other proof please. My 7 years of indoor growing, and 20+ years of greenhouse and outdoor growing that I vegged indoors for says otherwise.Personally speaking , ive seen better growth on 18/6 than 24h straight ... Plants do need darkness
My seedlings and clones go directly under a 400W MH the moment that they are put into dirt.It just dpends on how much light you have. Yeah 24hrs of weak light and they will still want more, but crank that light up and they might not like it so much.
