Seedling are dying(first time grower)

Hey guys,first post!
So i just got some seeds of Pine tar Gush along with some freebies.The first time i planted 5 they sprouted to this size and start to yellow and brown.They pop a nice green color then it fades after a day.At first i thought it was nute burn,so i flushed with water.Then i thought it was over watering as i watered them whenever the top of the coco was dry about a 1/2in down.Its only been 1 day since i last watered and im not gonna water them again but what are your guys thoughts?.the bigger one is 2 weeks old from the first batch i killed...kept it to see the outcome..
Lighting:California light works 500(plants are 3ft from light)
Hum:Averages 50-55%
Water:Distilled water at 2.5ppms from the manufacturer 5.6ph
Nutes:Humboldts secret base a and b(total ppms after i add nutes is 100ppm's)ive only fed them once,that was yesterday.
Medium:Coco Coir(hydro grow)
Temp:72

our letting your coco dry too much it looks like and also where did u get it because problems that early might mean it was washed with salt water and needs to be rinsed before you can use it and charged with cal mag. I use spring water for first week ph to 6.2 but check out cocoforcannabis.com theres alot of useful information there

Why are you using those net pots? I can't say it's the crux of your issues but there's a reason most people use grow bags or planters. Those net pots are usually for use in DWC or aeroponics or the likes. Seems like you would have too much runoff. Also. Your Coco should pretty much never dry out completely, unlike soil. You have the right gear (other than the pots) but I think you need to take a step back and read some guides and journals.

I've been reading on grow journal.I cant figure out what's wrong.ive even specifically searched for coco grows.what could cause them to start dying already?

this is only after 1 night!It was just a little brown yesterday.Notice how the stem is extremely narrow in the middle.Yesterday was the first day i didnt water them thats why they look dry but just below the surface the coco is still damp.Any thoughts?20200402_080500.jpg

Ok much appreciated.What are your thoughts on putting sanwich bags around the pot?To keep the coco wetter until i get them into my hydro set up?I appreciate the help

You should change out your net pots for standard planting containers firstly.
Secondly, you need to keep your coco moist all the time...you're letting it dry out and it's causing you issues.
100ppm is nothing...you need to feed your plants, and you need to feed them every day; your coco imparts next to nothing in terms of nutrients.
pH...you need to be sure your final feed pH is somewhere around 5.8...much more or less and you'll start to see issues..

Growing in coco,
Normal plastic pot (only the normal holes at the bottom), water every day PH 5.5-6.0 with 1/4 nutes until runoff (250ppm if that matters).

Couldn't be any easier.

Perfect.I will see what comes of these.It sucks to lose them but ive always been one to learn the hard way.I have other seeds but no more that are feminized :wall:

For first week of growth the seed has enough nutrients to grow i dont add anything and never have deficiencies but a low strength nutrients definitely wouldn't hurt anything but he has other issues it looks to me if they are dying that fast.

This should give you basic ph and ppms to be giving it at each stage. Just make sure u follow your nutrient line directions and check ppms and ph to this chart and it should give you good place to start. Good luck and do some more research before starting more

I will definitely save this pic.I do appreciate it.Ive watched the washing video on the site you recommended,ive got some perlite on the way that i will add to the coco unlike what i did this time.
If i start a grow journal after i manage to get the seeds to live a few weeks would you be interested in checking in from time to time?If you even visit the site.Seems as though you know your coco

Yea that would be cool i check on this site often. I personally don't pre charge with cal mag anymore i just give them it full recommended strength through the grow with no problems but id definitely recommend washing it at least regardless of brand to be safe

Yea ive read up on afew manufactures and salt content seems to be something they are focused on reducing.Must be something to it.My tap water is extremely hard.The ph is actually just above 8 and the ppms around 700(iron and calcium rich aquifer).Is this to much to wash with you think?
