BBC ran an article on how the crippling sanctions on Iran and it's people is preventing them from accessing humanitarian assistance to fight the COV. For the first time ever Iran is asking the IMF for money. Five billion dollars that Iran already has but can't access. The USA will have a huge say in whether they receive the money or not. The USA could allow Iran to buy the humanitarian relief they so desperately need with just a nod. It doesn't have to be a quid pro quo of any kind, just a gesture of good will. It's a shame we don't have a leader who understands that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
